A GOOD DAY

I had a good day today and hope all of you did too.  For me, good days are days spent with my children.  My children are all adults but I still love being a part of their lives.  They seem to like being a part of mine as well.  It's a good feeling!

My son and daughter-in-law came up and took hubby and I out to dinner for his Father's Day gift.  We went to Appleby's and had a good time.  We love dining out.   I know it isn't the healthist thing to do but we continue to do it anyway.

My underlying depression has had hold of me the past few days but I was able to shake it off enough today to enjoy the company of my family.  I may not have been as cheerful as usual but I believe I was pretty good company to be around. 

I often wonder if others worry about whether they are good company for their family and friends.  Does that come from the desire to be liked or the lack of self confidence?  I always review my social interactions like this.........wondering if I was stupid or said anything totally idiotic.   How weird!
