Hello everyone.  I know it's been a while since I've written but I was busy being sick and celebrating my birthday. 

 

My birthday was on the 15th and I was pretty sick for most of that week. So, this past week, I've been celebrating getting old.  ha!  When I look in the mirror there is an old woman who stares back at me.

 

It really isn't so bad when I think about all the love that my family shows me.  My daughter had two beautiful bouquets sent to me.  She also gave me an adorable stuffed elephant pillow to co-ordinate with all my other elephant items in my collection.

 

My youngest son gave my husband and I a free trip to the movies.   That's something I always love to receive.  My son Dave and his wife took us out to dinner and presented me with a really neat electric candle lamp.  The bulb looks very much like a flame.

 

My dear husband gave me some shopping spree money and bought me a delicious Dairy Queen ice cream cake.  I'm getting hungry again just writing about it. 

 

Even though I'm very officially a senior citizen, I guess I'll stop dreading future birthdays.  This one was filled with all of the happiness which my family provided.
