The old days:
1) Take snaps and hope they are good.
2) Wait to finish the film. (Perhaps take a few unnecessary snaps just to finish it)
3) Finally remember to take the film to the studio. (Days can pass at this stage)
4) Remember to go collect the processed film and snaps. (Days can pass at this stage as well)
Review the snaps with relief and/or disappointment.
5) Remember to carry the snaps for scanning.
6) Scan.
7) Resize.
8) Send or upload etc

Nowadays:
1) Take snaps and review instantly and redo if necessary/possible.
2) Remember to carry the camera or camera memory for downloading to computer.
3) Resize
4) Send or upload etc
