Yesterday after work, I went for drama practice as usual. But it was cut short coz of apparently some new regulation about closing time.

I went to the office and replaced a network card in one of the PCs. It then seemed to work fine. Was happy about that. Played a bit more Half Life.

Got home and started heating some water using my small immersion heater. Then I decided to lie on my bed as the water heats, and predictably, I fell asleep! Got up much later and remembered I had put the heater on! It seems the water boiled, evaporated and the heater melted the plastic container that had contained the water, then part of the heater melted as well. At some point the elec went off, ths saving me from possibly being burnt to death! I was amazed at my foolishness and repented.

I bought another heater today after work.
