My usually strong opinion on various random matters that I come across as I go about living. |

Someone said my previous blog entry (which I have since edited) makes it sound like it is okay to have a child out of wedlock and that I have no regrets. Hmmmmmmm.
Let me crystal clear: It is not okay to have a child out of wedlock.
1) It is sinful. Ok let me correct that. A significant part of the process of getting a baby outside wedlock is sinful. 2) It has several problematic practical implications.
In my case, it has already happened. And I am going to be Christy's father, actively involved in bringing her up. So what is done is done. I will joyfully take up the job I have landed (myself) in.
Then there is the school of thought that says since I have gotten a baby, I should marry the baby's mother. Now, supposing I had gotten two (or three or four) babies with two (or three or four) different women? Would I be expected to marry both (or all) of them?
