Digby
Digby town, not Digby camp, which is what they call RAF Digby around here. Digby is actually what they'd call a village, so I'm not sure why they say 'town' when referring to the village, but it's their language, so I don't argue. Most RAF camps are named for the closest village, but Ashby and Scopwick are much closer, so why are we named Digby? Well, we used to be called RAF Scopwick, but back in the 20's there was some confusion between this camp and RAF Shotwick. As the story goes, Digby was the closest rail station, so the camp was named for that town.

This is about as close as Digby gets to a main street. The village's only pub is at the left and the village cross, which traditionally marks the center of a town, is just under the arch of the trees.

This yard is not necessarily typical of most houses in Digby, but it certainly is photogenic, isn't it?

... And I found a couple more houses that I thought were rather pleasant to look at. By now you're no doubt thinking, 'Geeze, more pictures of houses.' Well, excuuuuuuse meeeeee!

Here's St. Thomas-a-Beckett church, in Digby. You've probably noticed by now that I like to photograph churches.
