| WHAT'S NEW? --- Friday 28 September 2001 Back!! Well I finally managed to get my A into G and get the site going again. Gawd. I've been busy busy. Anyway hope y'all like the new format. :) TV2 are so weird Ok, here's one to ad to our list of evidence that someone over at TV2 has it in for The X-Files, not to mention enjoys terrorizing deprived fans!! Some of you might have seen the advertisements on the telly, but basically, from October 3-6, you can vote (via an undecided 0800 number or telecom text message) for either 'The X-Files Movie: Fight the Future', or 'One Fine Day' to be screened on the 6th of October. How weird is that. Now although most of us die hard fans will have already seen the movie, it's the principle of the thing!!!! SO seeing as it's free and all, I expect you all to vote like crazy. Crazy crazy crazy. I'll remind everyone when the phone numbers get posted at TV2.nzoom.com. Here's the summary from their site so far: "Viewer's Choice Yes that's right, you can decide what you feel like watching on Saturday October 6. From October 3rd, voting will start via test messaging on your Telecom mobile or caling an 0800 number to vote for which movie you would like to play on Saturday night, October 6. You will be voting for either: 1. One Fine Day: a romantic comedy starring the georgous Michelle Pfieffer and hunky George Clooney. 2. The X-Files: Fight The Future: the full length movie feature based on the hit television series. A great sci-fi adventure starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. (Jo: David and Gillian aren't georgous and hunky??) Voting closes at 7pm sharp on October 6. The votes are tallied and the viewers choice will go to air! During the four days of voting, viewers can check out which movie is winning the race on a real-time graph right here on tv2.nzoom.com. Will it be George and Michelle or Scully and Mulder? The choice is yours!!" House of Mirth Well I went and saw The House of Mirth the day it came out, and it was fabulous. Gillian deserved all the praise she got, she was truly incredible. I strongly suggest all you Gillian fans to get out there and see it. (and I dont even like period films). At the Rialto in Newmarket they had a bunch of bookmarks which I've scanned in on the left. Pretty cool. Deadalive The video and DVD for Deadalive are in stores now. Your best bet would be somewhere like Whitcoulls where they can order it in. Flying Pig has the DVD for $37.95. Your local video store could have it to rent also. I bought the video yesterday, and i can strongly reccomend it. I can't believe TV2 are witholding such wonderful episodes.
