Newtown is a 3rd world slum..in fact its the toilet bowl of New Zealand, this shoddy wellington suburb is well known for its run down housing, criminal gangs and drugs. The contents of the most disgusting public toilet can be matched with Newtown, in fact its not uncommon to see discarged condoms, human excretment and urine soaked poles around this suburb of which represents the Mumbai slums only worse.

Oh and on the topic of Newtown Park Flats - Mums and dads from outside Newtown, you'd better think twice about talking your children to Wellington Zoo - with NPF Just up the road, the chances of a gang member breaking into and stealing your car are high.

Think the movie Slumdog Millionare. What do you see? the slums of Mumbai. Well newtown is about exactly that except far less people live there than in Mumbai.

Newtown is home to many people mostly criminal elements. The streets of Newtown are no longer safe to walk at night, Newtown is home to gangs. Gangs such as the Mongrel Mob, Black Power, Nomads, Hells Angels, Crips and the FBI (Full Blooded Islanders) as well as various ethnic gangs. Many of these gangs can be found in the wellington city council owned Newtown Park housing complex - of course a $95 p/w rent is gunna attract criminal gangs. The AOS are called out to this complex at least once every 2 months. Why?? did i just mention gangs, Tinnie Houses, P-Labs. Which goes onto my next point. NEWTOWN HAS MORE DRUG DEALERS THAN ANYWHER EIN WELLINGTON. This asshole of wellington is a well known "supermarket" for P, Which explains the high number of P Addicts living in Newtown P is a dangerous drug that causes violence, death and murder. Not far from the Newtown Park Flats is the Capital City Lodge where a nyumber of P Addicts, criminals and other low lives live. The police visit there at least once a week to talk to various residents, which begs the question. Why doe sthis place allow dodgy looking people to live there?? hell i lived there for 6 months and the number of P Addicts, violent criminals and alcoholic drug addicts that live there puts a very serious risk upon the safety of normal ordinary residents. The managements blind eye to issues such as noise control and late night partys have ended in near violence. and at one stage resulted in a violent catfight which saw broken windows, smashed up doors and other dangerous criminal behavior take place and residents across the street had bottles and abuse hurled at them by partygoers - fro fucks sake these residents where just trying to get a decent nights sleep, why did these low lives have to selfishly ruin it for them??? Away from a former residence, The crimes that occur in Newtown is too big to even list upon here but the most common are - Vicious Brutal assaults, Robberies, Car Thefts, Breaking and entering, Stabbings, Muggings, Home invasions, Attempted Car-Jackings, Shoplifting (often with the use of violence when the theif is caught), drug dealing (again mostly P), Wilful damage and vandalism, (More tagging in Newtown than anywhere else in Wellington) reckless and dangerous driving. Hell i can list everything forever but lack room. In fact the streets of Newtown are not safe for anybody to walk upon after dark. and if you do you'd better be a karate fighter or armed with a pistol cos the chances of being mugged are high, Hell its even safer walking down warspite ave in Waitangirua at 1.45am than it is walking down hall st/hanson street at 1.45am. Does anybody remember that dude that got bashed to ner death outside the dairy on the cnr of adelaide road and hall st a couple of years back??? Well that Newtwon in a nutshell for youse.

which moves on to the next point - Newtown is populated by unemployed unkempt low-lives. Picture Jason priestly as he is now - doesnt he look like a homeless vagrant?? well that is the typical Newtown resdient, Unkempt in appearance, they dont know what a shaver, washing powder or a toothbrush is. There number of source of income - The dole. Most of these residents are seen down at the local riddiford st branch of WINZ, and with a global economic crisis in full swing, no doubt the clientele would have got much bigger. And what do Newtown residents spend there dole upon?? Well the Newtown sports bar is open by 9am so they all go down there every tuesday morning and spend all there dole pay there, when money becomes tight, its off to New World to Buy some Turpentine and/or Methylated spirits AKA Purple Death so they can drink it sitting outside Mr. Bun and abuse or intimidate passersby, cries of "gimmie your money i wanna buy some drugs". are often heard. As mentionmed the drug P is easy to get in Newtown and many of these unemployed low-lives are dependant on P and/or Alcohol. In fact selling P Is a secondary income for these dole bludgers who ironically end up at WINZ Saying to there case managers "Gimmie some more money i wanna buy some P". Newtown rsidents cheif cource of income is the dole topped up upon the TAB and/or selling drugs. Unemployment is high and local youth form gangs as there are very little if any oppourtunitys in this shithole. Now many of you would regard Upper Hutt as the stereotypical shithole of wellington populated by Bogans. Well can i say this - Upper hutt, a timber producing and manufacturing hub of wellington may have a large prportion of panelbeaters and hairdressers but these panebeaters and hairdressers earn upwards opf $80k p/a, live in good homes and work hard to support there families. What does the typical Newtown family do? Unemployed TAB Bum Daddy beats Mummy after binging on Turpentine all day while daughter daisy sells her body to the night upon the cnr of Constable and Riddiford st while Sonny Boy Sammy sells P To 6 year old schoolkids and arranges over the phone from Johnny Makalottapee - the Newtown P-Cook, his next batch of drugs. While his homies from the notorius Hanson St Massiv go out and mug a little old lady (upon sammys orders) on Mein St.

Being a urine and faeces soaked slum of wellington populated by criminals, gangs and drug addicts as well as unemployed low-lives who binge upon metylated spirits all day Newtowns infrustructure is piss poor, So poor in fact its the bottom of the 3rd world table. Fro fucks sake, Harare is better designed than this 1870s era shitdump. victorian era Houses are cramped together, roads so narrow people literally punch each other up over who has the right of way and now the retards of the wellingtobn city council want to pu t a bus only lane in the side of Constable street when constable street is already too narrow as it is thus adding further to the heavy congestion on the high density traffic and everyday clogged up road. The traffic lights are poorly designed and engineered, often the lights are green for only 2 cars before changing to red again, encouraging red light running incidents, buses (mostly trollies which rarely exceed 20km/h) hog the road, bus stops so close to traffic lights add to delays. Now back to the housing in 1918 Newtown was hard-hit by the global influenza pandemic and because of the cramped liming conditions, Newtown had the highest rate of deaths anywhere in the wellington region. Now fast forward 90 years and despite a hospital literally on there doorstep, this would be overwhelmed and with people these days being so self centered, arrogant and spiteful towards there neighbors as well as newtown being larger and more dangerous as it was 90 years ago, another flu pandemic would see this slum have a much higher death rate.

A Work colleague told me - "Nomatter how much money you have live in an affluent area, as long as you make a few cut-backs you would avoid an area that is a known slum". Hell you dont need to earn $100k per year to live in Khandallah - a family friendly, quiet area with a very low crime rate, no drug factories or gangs or people drinking purple death outside the khandallah shops abusing passersby. The only unkempt person ive seen inKhandallah is this old guy that walks around khandalla village constantly mowing down his cans of beer and he is a harmless old drunk and wouldnt hurt a fly. If Khandallah was newtown then no doubt he'd be mowing down turpentine or purple death every day and selling P To unsuspecting and unscrupulous Teens from nearby high schools.

The Moral of the story is DONT EVER LIVE IN NEWTOWN, IF YOU DO I ENCOURAGE YOU TO MOVE AWAY FROM THERE, Set up shop in another suburb, join a cult in the wairarapa, shift to the hutt, sing childrens songs backwards, form your own religion. hell do whatever just leave newtown, leave it for the polices Special Tactics unit and AOS To raid it every 2 months and weed out the troublemakers. even if it turns into dowtown baghdad, open warfare would once and for all rid this slum from the face of the earth.
