| Never Again |
| The tears that ones were there have changed It feels as if she has been framed Nothing happens when she is sad She only thinks of something bad Crying seemed like it had ended But her pain is still winning Clouds or terror filled her thoughts As she sat and wondered how to make it stop The lightning of anger peirces her heart While she lies in bed crying inside herself Tears of molten rain drift down her spine Scaring her health and bending her mind Life keeps drifting down this muddy path She can't get away, it is swallowing her too fast The things around her she once knew Now have twisted into bitter memories Her friends have formed into threatening lions They could care less if they leave her crying And nothing is seen where it use to be But none of this really matters it's the unknown key She is clutching her battered trust tightly They will have to take her down fighting She will not let it happen anymore She won't let them take her confidence through that grim door. <The Way It Was, The Way It Will Be> CoprRight 2004 Mallory Stroop |
