New Wellington procurement company The Hub has launched a public share offer of two million  
$1 shares.                                                                                   

The offer will remain open until the middle of next month and, if fully subscribed, 4.1      
million fully paid ordinary shares will be on issue. The balance is held by the company's    
four directors.                                                                              

The proceeds will be used to recruit and finance sales teams in Auckland, Wellington and     
Christchurch and to establish a national call centre.                                        

Financial projections in The Hub's prospectus show a loss of 30c a share is expected for the 
present financial year, followed by earnings of over 13c and 70c a $1 share for the 2003 and 
2004 financial years respectively.                                                           

The Hub has agreed on long-term contracts with major suppliers of telecommunications, power, 
fuel, office equipment, statery and travel, which it says have the potential to provide      
savings of up to 40 per cent for small business operators.                                   

Managing director Ken Mackley said the company would be unlisted.
