
Robert Laurence Cameron Directorships Intaz Ltd Major Shareholdings Background Rob Cameron is a partner in Cameron & Company, an investment bank that was established by Rob in July 1995. He has been involved in a wide range of advisory and transaction mandates for clients in the public and private sectors including New Zealand Post, Weyerhaeuser Company, Tranz Rail, Wrightson and Telecom. Rob started his career at The Treasury and was a Harkness Fellow at Harvard University in 1980. He joined one of New Zealand's major sharebroking firms in 1984 and became Head of Research. He later established the investment banking services of Fay, Richwhite and Company Limited and became Head of Corporate Finance. In this role he provided advice and transaction management services across a wide range of mandates. Here major projects included the sale of the THC, the sale of Crown forest assets, the acquisition of Telecom by Bell Atlantic and Ameritech and the lead management of the public float of Telecom. In Cameron & Company, Rob has a leadership role in advising major shareholders in Ernest Adams on the sale of their interests to Goodman Fielder, Weyerhaeuser on its bid to acquire the Central North Island forecasts, Wrightson on several projects including the sale of Wrightson Farmers Finance, VicLink on the sale of Netlink to Telstra and a number of other clients. In August 2001 Rob was appointed leader in the Crown Negotiating team in relation to the recapitalisation of Air New Zealand, which was completed in January 2002 through an equity injection by the Crown of NZ$885 million. His involvement has been extensive in a number of Cameron & Company's major advisory projects including the strategic review of Brierley Investments, capital structure advice for Telecom New Zealand, a range of projects for New Zealand Post, the development of governance structures and financial strategies for Christchurch City Holdings, advice on business strategy, ownership and capital structure to ENZA, strategic and commercial advice to Ports of Auckland. Rob resigned as Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Council of Victoria University in April 2001 after 5 years on the Council. In this position Rob played a key role in guiding strategic and financial reposi- tioning of the University.
