Background
Initially an agricultural economist with Lincoln University,
Canterbury (1968-78), Graham subsequently worked in Manila, 
in the The Philippines, for the Asian Development Bank as a 
project economist. He later established Japan Trade Research
Associates (which consulted to prominent New Zealand Wine   
companies), a trade consultancy, Jatra Corporation Ltd, (of 
which he is managing director) and its subsidiaries Hi Tech 
Foods Ltd, Rimu Projects Ltd, Takaroa Fisheries Ltd,        
Ambrosia Nursery Ltd, Amgi Bioculture NZ Ltd and Kotukunui  
Holdings Ltd. Graham's business interests have some fifty   
employees. He is also a member of the advisory committee of 
Technology New Zealand and owns vineyard assets in          
Canterbury.
