Background
Chris is a chartered accountant with 25 years experience in the investment
and corporate finance sectors.                                            

Chris established and was for four years (until September 1999) the       
director in charge of the KPMG Corporate Finance group in Wellington. Mr  
Castle has been National Energy Spokesman for KPMG and the New Zealand Due
Diligence representative in the international KPMG network.               

Chris Castle was a founding director of Spectrum Resources Limited and    
Premier Mining Securities and has held directorships of five other NZSE   
listed companies. His mining and mineral exploration background includes  
(as an executive of Brierley Investments from 1975 to 1982) a series of   
projects with AMOIL NZ Limited, Kanieri Gold Dredging Limited and         
Australian Anglo-American Limited.                                        

His investment sector experience includes eight years with Brierley       
Investments (the last five as investment manager) and five years with the 
Regina Confections/Charter Corporation group. More recently (1989) he     
established Widespread Portfolios Limited as an aggressively focussed     
investor and share-trader and since September 1999 has been managing the  
company on a full time basis.
