Galveston

While my parents visited in Oct 2000, we drove from Austin, Texas to New Orleans. These are some photos of the coastal city of Galveston - famous fo being old and getting nailed by hurricanes.

There are some really massive houses around this place....and the odd trusty Chev  pickup.

Galveston is one of the busiest routes for shipping and there were big tankers and container ships everywhere

We got a ferry across the channel. These two 'Grade A' Rednecks already had half their pickup filled with empty beer cans and continued to piss it up - even with two cop cars on board! Yeeeeehaaaaa! Time for some beer and caramels!!

Did I mention it was busy and that there is not much room??
