Ensenada
During a weekend in San Diego - Gemma and I ventured down to Tijuana and jumped on a bus that took us about 100 miles down the Baja peninsula to Ensenada. We spent a couple of nights there, it was a fun place - very different and full of really friendly people.

If there is one thing I have learned about Mexico - it is that there are HUGE flags everywhere - this one was no exception

Here is a typical shot of downtown

This is a shot of the fabulous sunset

One of the coolest Cafes on earth. The people were so friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. There was a piano and some Conga drums on a stage that people would just wander in and play on - very cool. The young lady in the blue jacket is a freind we met called Arli - she is studying in Ensenada.

The grounds of a famous hotel where Hollywood stars used to come in the 50's to gamble and skull cerveza.

This is one of the primo taco stands we frequented. 3 for a dollar and buck fifty beers is a pretty sweet wicket.

Gemma sits at the doc as the sun sets

Anyone for Karaoke Espanol?? I actually fell asleep at this bar - lucky Gemma was there to wake me up.

The View from our classy hotel - not bad for US$15

The interior of our swanky digs -there was even a black and white telly!

Don't laugh - we could have stayed here
