Atlanta
A couple of weeks back I flew over to Atlanta for the weekend with Ray who is a fellow Kiwi living in Austin. Dave drove over from Birmingham and met us there for some drinking and exploring
The ones before the next line are all new...
This is a view of some of the cool Atlanta buildings. The two towers looked like they come from Gotham city.....Tha-wack!
This is Centennial Park, famous as an olympic memorial - and some jerk-off who decided to put a bomb there while it was full of people....nice one. By the way - you should clean that scratch off the top left of your monitor.
The World of Coke (like you can't say that about the world anyway - they had to make another one).....it wasn't utill about 5 seconds after I entered, that realised I had just paid to attend a commercial.
Atlanta is the home of Coke....just as well the up-scaled this pathetic little factory
This is inside the CNN building. I couldn't take photos on the tour because the camera flash does not aid the newsreaders while live on TV....boring....
This is another view....lotsa clocks and flags....they film all of the studio stuff here....they even had a New Zealand flag!
Don't recall if this was after the 4 hours afternoon drinking before going out, or if it was after we got home...either way - poor Atlanta.

Dave, Ray and Me at Fado's - a good old Irish pub. I don't know what I am pointing at? Perhaps I am about to ask a question....
This is the Centennial park created for the Olympics in '96...the building in the background houses CNN's Global head quarters...
Some more cool buildings that were built in honour of the well endowed Atlantic male
You have to love this - hard to read, but it says "Vote RAMBO for Mayor"....it was just enough to sway my vote....I can just see it 'They drew first blood!!'
This big lunk of Granite is creatively called 'Stone Mountain'. The guy who carved up Mt Rushmore has left his football field sized carving on its side...

Me and Ray sitting on the 'Mountain'
A closer look at the carving....it is off some guys on horses...no time for a history lesson though...
That is me....and you can barely see Hotlanta in the distance.
