Matamoros

This mexican town is located just over the border from the southern tip of Brownsville, Texas. It was one of the cleanest Mexican cities I have been to and we did a little shopping and ate some local food in the few hours we were there.

These guys are gonna have McD's aftyer them in no time. If this isn't a shady trademark violation - I don't know what is. I had to eat here on principle - but it was not so great. The best thing was the glass bottled coke on the hot day.

When there is not enough foot traffic - you really need to get amongst the real traffic if you are going to make a living begging. I don't know if this guy was in a wheelchair before he started this gig - but I think he will be trading up to a coffin if he is not careful.

This is one end of the markets that seem to go forever. There is stand after stand of local people selling there wares.
