Corpus Christi

I have been down to Corpus a couple of times for the weekend. Once with Eugene, and the second time also with Eugene to meet Cam. There is an awesome restaurant there called Wahoos that I have been to every night - awesome cajun seafood. There are some pretty funny cowboy bars too - they frisk you for guns as you go in the door just in case. Just as well I don't usually pack heat when I drink (that is a scary thought).

Me on the bridge - it is a bit like Auckland.....but you probably would not end yourself by jumping from this one.

So what to do with a big old aircraft carrier from WWII? How bout a bit of Valet parking in the harbour?   ....right....

The view down the beach from our pad - at least it wasn't too windy that weekend.

Here is the USS Lexington and - hey what is that on the stick? That's right - it is a skyhawk!! In New Zealand we defend our country with those - over here they make metallic toffee apples from them.

There's an officer on Deck!! (or this officer is a dick - whichever you prefer).

I would have had a crack at the bridge but I am not smart enough to be in the armed forces and work guns.

This is an F-14 Tomcat. I only have it here out of respect for the movie Top Gun (poor Goose....)
