My full name is Nicholas Joseph Zalud, but I go by Nick normally. First things first, my last name is not pronounced 'zal-ood' or any other crazy way. The 'u' is short, like the sound of the 2nd 'a' in 'salad.' So basically, Zalud rhymes with 'salad' (the easiest way to remember).
Both my girlfriend, Tamara, and I are 19 years old and plan on getting married within the next 2-3 years with kids arriving whenever we're ready. She has a shine when it comes to debating and it drives her mother crazy. Tons of people suggest that Tamara become a lawyer but she's got a while before that happens..
I'm interested in just about everything, from journalism to science and from computers to surfing. I have a great field of interest and I can't wait to stroll through the grass. During high school I was involved with the Drama Department for 4 years and was a leading editorial writer for the Deer Park Antler, Deer Park High School's district-wide newspaper, for 1 year. Each activity came with its challenges, but overall I matured as an individual and aquired new skills. I became confident speaking in front of crowds through drama and evolved my writing technique through journalism. Suprisingly, high school did some good.
