| JR. PONY DIVISION RULES & BY-LAWS | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. AGE. JUNIOR: Players at this level shall be 13-15 years of age as of April 30 of | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| playing year. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2. ROSTER. Roster must be submitted to the commissioner prior to the first scheduled | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| game. Roster must include a list of players with verified birth dates (school or birth | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| certificates). | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. RESIDENCE. See Grasshopper rules. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4. FOOTWEAR. Steel spikes may be worn at the Pony level. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 5. FIELD SIZE. All dimensions as governed by high school rules. Base paths 90 feet | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| apart; back of home plate to front of pitcher's plate is 60 feet 6 inches. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6. GAME LENGTH. Seven innings will constitute a full game for junior pony division. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Trailing team must bat 5 full innings for game to be official. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7. GAME TIME. Games are to start at 6:00 P.M. with a 15-minute leeway. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 8. BASEBALLS. Two new balls (Babe Ruth grade or above) to be supplied by the home | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| team. Each team should provide a game ball for playoff games. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 9. RULES. Except herein defined, Federation High School rules will govern all games at | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| the Pony level. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 10. FIELDS. Coaches are to provide a safe playing environment for all players on his and | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| the opposing team. If possible, have batter?s box; foul lines and out-of-play lines marked. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| School fields must maintain a certain safety level or play will not be permitted at that site. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| Do whatever possible to ensure safe playing conditions! | |||||||||||||||||||||||
| 11. Note: Jr. Pony teams will play on TUESDAY and THURSDAY nights. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
