Meeting participants play an important role in making the Club educational and enjoyable. But another group of people has even more responsibility for meeting quality and the long-term success of the Club. This group is called the Club Executive Committee. Following are the titles and standards of each Executive Committee member.

President
serves as the club's chief executive officer, responsible for the general supervision and operation of the club. Ensures that Club officers meet club officer and club meeting standards; oversees plan to achieve Distinguished Club program goals; encourages all members to earn CTM, ATM, CL and AL awards; works to make sure the Club has an ongoing membership building program. President also handles relations with International and the District; oversees compliance with policies and the Club Constitution; schedules and chairs regular Executive Committee meetings; ensures timely elections are conducted; and sees that meetings start and end on time, among other duties.


Vice President Education(VPE)
plans successful club meetings to provide every member the opportunity to achieve his or her educational goals. Completes meeting schedules and assignments at least three weeks in advance; promotes participation in the educational program and gets new and seasoned members to commit to earning a CTM or ATM or both; tracks the progress of members towards achieving an educational goals; assigns mentors to new members; gets the club to use modules from the Better Speaker Series and Successful Club Series; organizes club speech contest; and, presides in the absence of the Club President, among other duties.

Vice President Membership(VPM)
conducts ongoing membership building programs and efforts. Promotes the goal of one new member per month through membership recruitment campaigns and the support of Toastmasters International membership campaigns. Follows-up on guests; orients new members (including organizing induction ceremonies); regularly speaks with fellow members to determine if their needs are met; and, organizes a mentorship program, among other duties.

Vice President Public Relations(VPPR)
promotes the Club to local or corporate media and keeps the Club informed of Area, District and International programs and activities. Organizes a club newsletter and/or club web page and helps the VP Membership to promote membership building programs, among other duties.

Secretary
maintains an accurate membership roster and keeps World Headquarters informed of changes in Club and officer data. Handles Club correspondence and maintains all Club files. Records and reads meeting minutes of Club and executive committee meetings, among other duties.

Treasurer
prepares a club budget and provides quarterly or monthly financial reports to the Club. Handles all bank account paperwork; submits new member applications and dues to World Headquarters; and prepares and sends dues statements by August 15/February 15 for the semiannual dues periods, among other duties.

Sergeant-at-Arms
schedules meeting locations; maintains club equipment; arranges the set-up of the meeting room; greets members and guests and arranges for guests to sit with members; ensures the meetings starts on time; and distributes and tallies ballots for awards, among other duties.
