Jerry Streichler, PhD, is a New York native born and raised largely on the lower east side of New York. He attended Manhattan High School for Aviation Trades and transferred to Seward Park High School to pursue a college preparatory program. He attended City College of New York, Rutgers University, and earned a BS from Newark State College, an MA from Monclair State University and a PhD from New York University.

     Dr. Streichler has served the United States as a member of the Air National Guard and United States Air Force. He has served secondary education as a teacher of Industrial Arts at both the junior and senior high school levels, and post secondary education as a Professor of Industrial Arts at Montclair State College. In addition, he has served as Professor of Industrial Education and Technology at Trenton State College and Professor of Technology and Chair of the Department of Industrial Education and Technology at Bowling Green State University. He has also served as a founding director of the School of Technology and the founding Dean of the College of Technology at Bowling Green.

     Professor Streichler has produced over 95 scholarly works, including a co-edited 1971 ACIATE Yearbook and
The Journal of Epsilon Pi Tau 1976-1992. His most current work is the lead Chapter in the recently distributed CTTE Yearbook for 2000.

     Dr. Streichler is retired from his duties at Bowling Green and has traveled from his home in LaJolla California to celebrate Conference 2004 and EPT's 75th Anniversary with us. He will personally supervise an Exemplary Initiation of new members into the NYSTEA Pi Field Chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau, the International Honorary for Professions in Technology. He currently serves as Executive Director of the organization.
