Introducing:

Nyssa Rebecca Brown

If you had not heard, Becky went to the hospital on the fourth of July for a 24-hour observation on recommendation from her Doctor and Kidney Specialist. She was having some problems and they could not quite pinpoint it.

Well, they did not let her out. They finally diagnosed her with a severe case of pre-eclampsia or toxemia. The doctor's original thoughts were that is was far to early for Becky to have this sickness. However, the situation was becoming dangerous for both.

Becky was then given a series of two steroid shots to promote lung development in the fetus; which was only at 29 weeks of gestational age. The steroids took two days to work, until, finally.....

Friday morning on July 7th, Becky went under the knife for a c-section and little Nyssa was born!!! What an amazing day!
