Born in the BIG APPLE and raised in Brooklyn. Heading into my 38th year in the music industry. Along the way, I became a certified Luthier, an Audio Tech and an authorized Repair Tech for Fender & Gibson musical instruments...but my passion is "playing out", which I still do on a regular basis.
My career has afforded me the pleasure of sharing stages with many of the 'Greats' and 'Legends'in the business. They include: The Drifters, The Ink Spots, The Platters, Buddy Guy, PineTop Perkins, R. B. Greaves, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Hubert Sumlin, Rick Derringer, Steve Morse, Vinnie Martell (Vanilla Fudge), Rick Roberts (FireFall), Carlos Santana, Hadley Caliman (Santana), Sandy Gennara (Pat Travers, Davey Jones) and Gary Coleman.
I've played throughout the continent of North America (yes, Alaska & the Yukon Territory, too!) and worked two USO shows that took me to places like Guam, Wake Island and Japan.
I'm now semi-retired and living in Central Florida. I am presently performing a few nights per week with a power-trio, playing classic & current rock & dance covers, as well as originals...and still active in the studio. The color picture above was taken at Rock Crusher Canyon, Crystal River, FL during the Rick Derringer show, on my 51st birthday (May 5, 2000). The B&W was taken when I was about 16 at a  "Music In The Park"  show, South Beach, Staten Island, NY.

Being a Luthier, of course, I enjoy any kind of woodworking. Other interests include: cooking; fishing; cycling; reading, especially science, astonomy, ancient civilizations, SETI, and UFO books; electronic "tinkering"; word puzzles & games; and I used to mountain climb and river raft (whitewater) before arriving in Florida.
I've recently had the urge to get back into acrylics and pastels, which I did in my teens and early twenties...but I'm not sure if I still have "the touch".
Oh yeah!...playing on my computers and chatting with people and friends around the world.

Tigger, aka "Blind Blues Kitty"....................

Robert Angelo DeRosa, but you better call him "Bobby".   He's my favorite nephew.............
alright, he's my only nephew, but he is definitely  the keeper of MY flame.
Needless to say, (but I will anyway), most of my friends are in the music or hospitality industries, though I do have a fair amount in the medical, legal, and retail sectors. Our common bond is MUSIC, what else? They usually seek me out when I'm gigging in the area...and then it's PARTY TIME!!!
I have a wonderful 12 year old nephew...a typical boy with an untypical mind. It's almost scary sometimes,  how he grasps technical things that most adults will run from. He is so much fun to "hang" with.
I also have a 12 year old cat named "Tigger" aka "Blind Blues Kitty". She lost her sight to a snake bite, about 7 years ago, but it hasn't slowed her down a bit. She can still hold her own against her 'brother'...my 60lb. collie named, "Buddy".
Since both my parents have passed on, except for an aunt and a few cousins in Italy, and a few cousins scattered around the states, my family mostly consists of my close friends, my pets, and, of course, my nephew.

Thanks for visiting my site...Take care of yourself and each other. There just ain't enough love in this world!  8-)
