Harper Journeyman Tolia  Strangers to fellow harpers to student and teacher, to friends, and now to relatives, the evolution of the relationship between Kaeryn and Tolia has been a rather great one. When Tolia wound up on Master Thorn's ship the Lady Rose, which dropped her off at Tillek, neither she nor Kae knew what was in store for their future, but once Oli was there, the elder harper decided to keep her own. Might as well keep the girl where she was useful, and her growing skills as a drummer would be helpful at Tillek, so Kaeryn took her on as one of her students. Not long after, Kae left for the nearby Master Sea Hold to begin her studies with the dolphincraft, leaving Oli to continue working at Tillek's hold drummer. That is, until Kae was offered a post as harper aboard the Lady Rose. Oli was asked to pack her things and join Kae aboard the ship for the beginning of their travels together. Over the two turns of travels, Kae and Tolia became close friends, spending many of their free evenings aboard the ship together, discussing most anything that would come to mind, and would spend their shoreleave at Ista Isle with Tolia's uncle, T'rell. Little did either of them know that their relationship would advance to relatives through this very 'rider they visited, but it did. Kae's travels on the Lady Rose ended when she discovered she was pregnant, with Tolia's uncle's child. Tolia completed an exceptional project within the harper hall and was promoted to Journeyman, leaving her posted at Ista Hold while Kae returned to Ista Weyr. Currently, their relationship is one more of sisters than of simple colleagues, and they thoroughly enjoy the time they are able to spend together. Tolia A sturdily built, slender young woman at a final height of 5'6", her lovely, light-brown eyes and pretty smile begin to reflect a developing inner maturity. Her sun-streaked blonde hair is kept short, its translucent golden ends curling in unexpected ways at the ends where it just stops to tickle her well-proportioned ears (her best feature, some say, for the rest of her face is quite plain). Her freckled skin is lightly tanned, and she moves with a developing grace despite a lingering adolescent awkwardness. Dark brown slippers are woven of thin wherhide, leaving little between feet and ground. Slacks of a skybroom green, tailored yet utilitarian, flare softly at bare, half-tanned ankles; a translucent sisal blouse outlines slender curves beneath a partially-buttoned, lightweight cotton sweater of orange-gold. Nearly identical golden drums adorn her ears. A new twist of blue and white adorns Oli's shoulder, captured in a small epaulet sewn for the purpose. What formerly was simple now has extra ornamental loops at ends and top, marking her as a Journeyman Harper. Design
