Directions from Albany to Cobleskill and Howe Caverns Motel
  1. Go out of the airport and turn left onto Rt. 155. This will take you to I - 87. Turn right onto I - 87 South. This is the Northway.
  2. Take 87 South to I 90 West. (the NYS Thruway).
  3. Take I 90 West to exit 25A. You will take I 88 West.
  4. Take I 88 to exit 22, the Cobleskill Exit.
    (Also from I 81 to I 88 going North from PA)
  5. Turn Right off Exit Ramp. Go to the light (which is in sight) and take a right onto Route 7.
  6. Take Rt. 7 East. Go about 1 mile. It will be the first left turn at the bottom of the hill. The name of the road is Caverns Road. You will follow this approximately 2 miles to a T intersection. Here you turn right. Follow this road less than 1 mile and after you go through the underpass you make a right turn. There will be a big sign for Howe Caverns. Follow this Road and it brings you to the Caverns.

  1. To go to the show grounds, go back down the road from the Caverns and at the exit make a left hand turn. After you go through the underpass take the first left hand turn. Follow this road and you will come to a T intersection. Take a right onto Rt. 7 west.
  2. Take Rt. 7 into the town of Cobleskill. Go to teh 2nd light. There will be a movie theater on the left and a small park in front of you. Take a sharp left and go by the theater onto South Grand Street.
  3. The entrance to the fair grounds will be on the left after you go through the intersection. You will see a sign for the Fairgrounds. Turn left and proceed past the grandstands to the show ring.
