Panther 2008 14U USSSA Tournament Rules

USSSA 2008 rules apply with the following modifications:
- Home team will be determined by coin toss,
called by team who traveled greatest distance.
- Game starting time is established by the plate
umpire, Games will be 1 hour 30 minutes. Inning will be completed if started
- Tie Games -Pool Games can end in a tie.
- Run Rule:12 runs after 3 innings (2 � if Home
Team is winning, 10 runs after 4 innings, (3 � if Home Team is winning)8 runs
after 5 inning(4 � innings if Home Team is winning
- Protests - No protests will be considered on
judgment calls. All the issues will be handled immediately by the Tournament
Director. The Tournament Director may elect to have the Umpire in Charge handle
the dispute. In all cases, the decision of the Tournament Director is final.
- Rain Format - Games delayed by rain will resume
where play stopped. Tournament rain format will be determined by the Tournament
Director. The decision to stop play will be made by the plate umpire, or the
Tournament Director.
- Courtesy Runners - A courtesy runner for the
Pitcher or Catcher may be used at any time. The runner will be a player off of
the bench, or (if a bench player is not available) the player to make the last
out at bat.
- Accuracy of Recorded Scores - The winning team
is responsible for reporting the score to the Tournament Director. It is each
team Manager's responsibility to check all scores and bracket standings before
leaving the complex.
- Warm-up Pitches - Five (5) warm-up pitches are
allowed in the 1st inning and three (3) for all the remaining innings.
- A Forfeit: will occur if a team fails to have 8
players ready to play at the scheduled game start time. With only 8 players, the
9th batting position will be counted as an out.
- You are allowed a DH and or a EP as defined in the USSSA rule book.
