NY Panthers Red 14U wrapped up the East Brunswick fall league winning the Championship Game 16 - 14.
The Team finished with an 9 - 1 record beating the Vikings in the championship game. The Vikings were the only team to beat the Panthers during the regular season.
Winning Pitcher Samantha Bennett( 6 K's 2 BB 6 ER 7 IP) was Supported by a 14 hit attack anchored by Kristi Dillon (3 Hits, 1double), JoMarie Sinagra (3 hits, Triple, Double, Single, 2BB's) & A game saving catch in center field by Sarah Carbone.

On Saturday in the rain, the NY Panthers Red dropped 3 games. (3 - 0) (2 - 0) & (2 - 1) on a controversial drop dead time ruling.
Sunday was a different story the Panthers came out with a vengence, Beating the host team 13 - 2 behind Michelle Gardella's 4 hitter. Backed by JoMarie Sinagra ( 2 hits (booming 280' Triple)3 RBI) and Samantha Bennett (2 hits 4 RBI). Game 2 was dominated by Pitcher Cassie Fernandez who continued her mastery of the Tom's River Lighting Gold By a score of 17 - 3. Cassie kept the gold off stride with a hard moving fast ball and a tantalizing change-up. She was backed up again by JoMarie Sinagra (4-5 2 triples 5 RBI), Samantha Bennett (3-5 2 RBI) & Michelle Gardella (2-4 3 RBI).
Game 3 was a tight game throughout with the Panthers leading 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th but the Tom's River Lighting White Came Back with 3 runs with one out to win 3 - 2. Losing Pitcher Samantha Bennett had a 2 hitter entering the seventh finishing with a 4 hit 3R 8K performance. For the second week in a row the Young Panthers were in the Championship game. Sarah Carbone And Kristi Dillon threw out 8 would be base stealers during the day shutting down the running game by the opposition all day.
