The New York Panthers White
16-and-under squad was declared the winner of the
Rampage Tournament and qualified for the PONY
Nationals in Raleigh, N.C., starting Aug. 5
On Saturday the Panthers, finished as the
number 1 seed going 3-0 and only giving up 2 runs
for the day. The Panthers defeated the West
Milford Xtreme 2-0 and the Livingston Lightning
9-1 behind winning pitcher Bonnie Stenger while
pitcher Laura Gold defeated the Ramsey Rockets
9-1. Christina Semey, Jen McGroaty and Aileen
Berran starred defensively.
On Sunday, the Panthers defeated the Central
Jersey Rebels 4-3, again Bonnie Stenger was the
winning pitcher. The Panthers were in the third
inning of a 0-0 game with the Flemington Flames
(4th seed) when the rains came and didn't
stop. After about 45 minutes, the directors
called the tournament.

17, 2001
The Panther 16U Blue team won all
three games in the Edison Angels Pony Qualifier
beating Clark 3-2, the Blaze 14-7 and the
Mustangs 8-4.
Ann Roccasalva struck out eight in the opener,
Stefanie Forlenza was the winning pitcher in the
second contest and also drove in five runs, and
Dana Oscharsky won the nightcap behind the
hitting of Kristina Samaritano and Jessica
Molinari.
Sundays action was rained out.
