INT. PROMO SET – NIGHT
Josh Matthews is standing by with Huh and Cheesecake.
Josh: Huh, Cheesecake, last week you, along with Cynric, were the victims of an all out assault by Nykk and the Pyro Twins. How are you guys even here this week?
Huh: Luckily, the injuries we received last week were not as serious as originally thought. We’ll leave Nykk to Cynric at No Way Out, but the Pyro Twins are ours.
Cheesecake: You th’ee… ahem… the Pyro Twins talked about how long they fought to become Tag Team Champions? Well, we’re going to kick them where it hurts the most, by taking those titles. And we don’t care what kind of match it is. It could even be an Inferno Match for all we care. Everyone may think we’re nothing but a couple of goof offs, but the Pyro Twins are going to find out how serious we really are.
Nykk walks up to them.
Nykk: What, you think you can just challenge Jay and Dusty like that? I’ve got news for you two. If you want to get a title shot, first you have to go through the three of us at No Way Out. Then it’s up to Jay and Dusty. You two losers don’t stand a chance, and never have. The only reason you’re standing here today is because you had me as a shield. No more. I’ll give you this warning. The pain Cynric is going to feel after No Way Out is nothing compared to what I’m going to do to you.
He walks off.
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: The Pyro Twins vs. Tajiri and Billy Kidman
Tajiri’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: This match will be for the WWE Tag Team Titles, and here comes one of the challengers right now.
Tazz: Tajiri looks focused and ready for this match.
Billy Kidman’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: A couple of cruiserweights will be going against Jay and Dusty, including this young man!
Tazz: Billy Kidman many times is a former Cruiserweight Champion. Let’s see if he can add tag team gold to his resume.
The Pyro Twins’ theme hits and they make their way to the ring.
Cole: However, they now have to get by the Pyro Twins to get the Tag Team Titles.
Tazz: These guys don’t beat their opponents as much as steamroll them, especially since they’ve declared themselves loyal to Nykk.
FINISH: Tajiri sets Dusty up for his kick to the head, but Dusty ducks and shoves him into a spinning heel kick from Jay. Kidman clotheslines Jay over the top rope, taking them both out. Dusty hits Tajiri with rights and whips him into the ropes. Tajiri ducks a clothesline and hits Dusty with a flurry of martial arts kicks as Jay slides back in. He finishes with a spinning crescent kick, but Dusty ducks and the Pyro Twins hit Final Darkness. Dusty covers for the three count.
Winners: The Pyro Twins at 3:24
Cole: The Pyro Twins are victorious, but what about Huh and Cheesecake’s challenge to them?
Tazz: The Pyro Twins aren’t afraid of anything, and I’m sure that the match they’d choose for Huh and Cheesecake would be nothing short of brutal.
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: Cynric vs. Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring, along with Shannon Moore. This weeks Matt Facts state that ‘Matt keeps a lovely garden at his home in North Carolina,’ and ‘
Cole: Matt Hardy is looking for revenge in this match, for the one he lost to Cynric a few weeks back.
Tazz: Matt will definitely have his hands full with Cynric.
Cynric’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: Cynric is still recovering after a beating at the hands of Nykk and the Pyro Twins last week.
Tazz: Nykk’s warnings have to be weighing heavily on his mind too. What is Nykk talking about when he says that Huh and Cheesecake will suffer even more pain than Cynric at No Way Out?
FINISH: Cynric bounces off the ropes, but Moore jumps onto the apron and grabs his hair. Cynric turns around and Matt knees him in the back. Matt goes for the Twist of Fate, but Cynric pushes him off into Moore, who flies into the guardrail. He rolls Matt up for a close two count. Nykk runs down the ramp and also gets on the apron, forcing Cynric to run over. Nykk drops to the floor, and Matt takes Cynric over in a sunset flip. He puts his feet on the second rope for extra leverage and gets the three count.
Winner: Matt Hardy at 4:11
Cole: Matt Hardy steals one, thanks to Nykk!
Tazz: Why would Nykk do that? He knows that Cynric will just retaliate later on when Nykk takes on Rey Mysterio.
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: Nykk vs. Rey Mysterio
Nykk’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: We’re set for a non-title match right here on Smackdown, and here comes Nykk, the Cruiserweight Champion.
Tazz: Rey Mysterio has been asking him for a title shot after pinning him twice, but Nykk said he’d only give it to him if he beat him in a one on one match.
Rey Mysterio’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: Rey has been on fire since coming back from his knee injury. He’s pinned Nykk twice, and has beaten other cruiserweights like Jamie Noble. He definitely deserves a title shot.
Tazz: No doubt about it, but he also agreed to this non-title match. If he blows this, Nykk will never give him a title shot.
FINISH: Rey goes for the 619 a couple of times during the match, but Nykk manages to avoid it. Close to the end, Cynric runs down and gets on the apron, distracting Nykk. However, the Pyro Twins run out and attack him and they brawl to the back. Nykk turns around and walks into a jawbreaker from Mysterio. Mysterio gives Nykk a spinning heel kick to the back of the head, laying him out across the second rope. Rey wastes no time and hits the 619. Rey goes for the West Coast Pop, but Nykk doesn’t flip over, and instead hoists Mysterio up for a powerbomb. Rey tries to counter into a sunset flip, but Nykk holds onto his legs, hanging him upside down across his back. Mysterio hooks Nykk’s waist and suddenly shifts all his weight downward, snapping Nykk over into a piledriver. He covers and gets the three count.
Winner: Rey Mysterio at 12:22
Cole: Rey Mysterio has pinned Nykk for the third time in this non-title match!
Tazz: What a move by Mysterio. Nykk is still out!
After Rey finishes celebrating, he walks up the ramp and Cheesecake runs out, carrying a case and big, black cloth.
Cole: What the hell is Cheesecake doing out here?
Cheesecake covers Nykk with the cloth and opens the case. He gets under the cloth with Nykk and stays there for about a minute or so.
Tazz: What the hell’s he doing, Cole, giving him mouth to mouth resuscitation?
Finally, Cheesecake finishes and rolls out of the ring, running up the ramp as officials come down to tend to Nykk. Nykk wakes up as they get in the ring, and pulls the black cloth off to reveal that Cheesecake had put makeup all over his face, making him look like a drag queen. Nykk insists that he’s okay and gets to his feet, staggering from the ring.
Cole: Oh my God, Cheesecake just made up Nykk like a drag queen!
Tazz: I’d hate to be there when he realizes what just happened!
INT. LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT
Nykk is standing in front of Jay and Dusty with an angered look on his face. The Pyro Twins can barely keep straight faces upon seeing his makeup.
Nykk: I am real disappointed in you two… you weren’t supposed to brawl with Cynric, you were supposed to worry about Rey Mysterio. You guys are Tag Team Champions, and you can’t even take care of one little detail that would have gotten me the win? We didn’t win any points with Cynric and the rest out there with you guys brawling with him like that… but no matter. At No Way Out, we will force them to… what the hell are you laughing at?
Jay: Maybe you should go look in a mirror.
Confused, Nykk walks over to a mirror and looks at himself.
Nykk: Somebody… hand me something… breakable.
Dusty hands Nykk’s cell phone to him, and Nykk throws it against the locker without even looking at it. He stomps it a couple of times and then looks at Dusty.
Nykk: Not my cell phone!
Dusty: Sorry… ma’am.
Nykk grunts in disgust and storms out of the locker room while Jay and Dusty laugh.
Velocity
MATCH: Huh and Cheesecake vs. Jamie Noble and Nunzio
Huh and Cheesecake win after Cheesecake hits Noble with the Long Kiss Goodnight.
