Smackdown
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: Huh and Cheesecake vs. John Cena and Red Dogg
The PPV Squad theme hits and Huh and Cheesecake make their way to the ring.
Cole: We’re starting off Smackdown with the PPV Squad, represented by Huh and Cheesecake! You know, Tazz, ever since Huh came back after being attacked by Nykk, it’s like he’s gotten more confident in his abilities. In the past few weeks, Huh and Cheesecake have been on a roll.
Tazz: They may be on fire literally if the Pyro Twins have anything to say about it.
John Cena’s theme hits and he and Red Dogg make their way to the ring.
Cena: Yo, yo, yo, JC and his Dogg are in the house! Cut that beat, Mr. MC, and give me something so I can get my freestyle on!
His freestyle music hits.
Cena: (rapping) You’ve gotta be kidding, you’ve gotta be joking, / our opponents are Huh and Cheesecake, what are the matchmakers smoking? / Huh’s a buffoon, Cheesecake’s a flake, / you’re nothing but a couple of goons for goodness sake! / Word up, yo, think we’re afraid of you? / I ditched B-2, got myself Red Dogg, / Since that coup is through, he’ll make you into dog food!
FINISH: Cheesecake goes for the Long Kiss Goodnight on Cena, but Red Dogg comes in and clotheslines him. Huh tackles Red Dogg, and Cena gives Cheesecake a low blow in the confusion. He lifts Cheesecake for a vertical suplex, but Cheesecake escapes behind Cena and executes the Screw Driver. Huh goes to the top rope and hits a moonsault. Cheesecake covers and gets the three count.
Winners: Huh and Cheesecake at 3:45
Cole: Huh and Cheesecake continue their winning ways, perhaps now setting their sights on the tag team titles around the waists of the Pyro Twins.
Tazz: They’ve amassed a couple of impressive wins over the last few weeks, so they have as good a chance as any team of getting a shot.
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: Nykk vs. Chris Benoit vs. Edge
Nykk’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: We’re getting ready for a Triple Threat Match to determine the number one contender to Kurt Angle’s WWE Title!
Tazz: This is going to be a barnburner, Cole.
Cole: I heard that this was originally supposed to be a match between Chris Benoit and Edge, but Angle lobbied to get Nykk in the match because he thinks that Nykk would forgo a title shot since he wants to quit anyway.
Edge’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Tazz: Nykk has never had a shot at the WWE Title before, but I think he stands a pretty good chance if he does get one.
Cole: Here comes Edge, who has had many battles with Kurt Angle in the past and also with the participants in this match.
Chris Benoit’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: Here comes the man who came so close to winning the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble, “The Canadian Crippler” Chris Benoit!
Tazz: He had a phenomenal match with Angle at the Rumble, and came up just short of winning the belt. This could be his chance to redeem himself.
FINISH: Nykk has Benoit in the Cedarleaf, but Edge comes over and kicks him, forcing him to release the hold. He hits the Edgecution and covers Nykk, but Benoit pulls Edge off and applies the Crossface. Nykk kicks him until he releases the hold, and Benoit staggers to his feet. Nykk goes for a right hand, but Benoit quickly applies a Fujiwara armbar, segueing into a Crossface. Edge takes hold of Nykk’s other arm and they apply a double Crossface. The ref makes them break the double submission, and Edge tries a clothesline. Benoit ducks and executes a German suplex. He goes for a second one, but Nykk hits Benoit with a running forearm, sending him into the ref. Nykk goes for the Trinity. He gives Edge a back suplex, and holds on for the German. However, Benoit is up and forearms Nykk in the back of the head. He waistlocks Nykk and gives him a German suplex, which forces Nykk to German suplex Edge. With both men down, Benoit goes to the top rope and hits the flying headbutt on Edge. He covers, but Kurt Angle runs down and pulls Benoit off of him. Benoit turns his attention to Angle, who gets on the apron. He chokes Angle, who takes off the belt. At the same time, Nykk charges Benoit from the opposite side of the ring. Angle swings the belt, but Benoit moves and Angle nails Nykk in the head. Angle drops to the floor and Benoit goes outside to fight him. Nykk turns around groggily and walks right into a spear from Edge. The ref wakes up as Edge covers and makes the three count.
Winner: Edge at 14:12
Cole: Edge is the victor! He now has a shot at the WWE Title sometime in the future.
Tazz: That was quite a costly miscalculation by Nykk and Angle. I’m sure Angle would have preferred Nykk to win, but he accomplished his goal of denying Benoit a rematch.
INT. ARENA – NIGHT
MATCH: Cynric vs. A-Train
A-Train’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Cole: A-Train continues to hang in there, and rebounded after losing to the Undertaker by beating none other than Rey Mysterio.
Cynric’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
Tazz: A-Train seems to have more success against smaller guys, and Cynric isn’t quite as small as Mysterio, but he’s no Undertaker either.
Cole: Will Cynric fell the huge A-Train right here tonight?
FINISH: As soon as the bell rings, A-Train attacks. He hits Cynric with forearms to the back of the head and then whips him into the ropes. Cynric dropkicks the knee, which staggers A-Train. Cynric kicks at the knee, trying to get him on the mat. A-Train keeps his balance and lunges with a clothesline. Cynric ducks and nails him in the midsection with a roundhouse kick. A-Train doubles over, and Cynric bounces off the ropes, hitting a rolling koppo kick to the back of the head. A-Train goes down, and Cynric measures him. As he gets to one knee, Cynric hits the Lift Off and covers for the three count.
Winner: Cynric at 0:47
Cole: Wow! Cynric just made short work of the A-Train!
Tazz: That was definitely impressive, Cole. Cynric is focused tonight.
Cynric grabs a mic.
Cynric: Nykk, I know you’re still back there, and as you saw last week, the PPV Squad is still standing strong. You won’t change that, and will never change that. What I’m out here to do right now is call your ass out, because I’m going to make you pay for all the suffering you’ve caused!
Cole: Cynric just laid out a challenge to Nykk. Will he accept it?
Cynric waits, looking at the ramp anxiously, but Nykk comes in through the crowd and attacks Cynric from behind.
Tazz: Nykk is still here! He just attacked Cynric from behind.
Nykk stomps on Cynric and then hits him with the microphone. Huh and Cheesecake run out, but the Pyro Twins suddenly emerge from either side of the stage and stand in their path. They get the better of Huh and Cheesecake and throw them in the ring. Nykk applies the Cedarleaf to Cynric, who taps out while the Pyro Twins deliver Final Darkness to Huh. Jay picks up Cheesecake and gives him the Overhaul. Dusty gets a chair and slams it on Cynric’s head as he’s still in the Cedarleaf, knocking him unconscious. Nykk releases the hold and picks Huh up, tying him up in the ropes. Jay gets another chair and he and Dusty take turns hitting him in the head with it. Huh is busted open, and Cheesecake makes a desperate lunge to save him, but Nykk kicks him in the ribs and Jay hits him in the back with his chair.
Cole: Somebody’s got to stop this! Nykk’s hell bent on a war of attrition out here!
Shadow runs out to the ring and stands in front of Huh, pleading with Nykk to stop. Nykk tries to move past her, but she holds him back and shoves him. Nykk piefaces her, shoving her to the mat.
Cole: My God, how low is Nykk going to go before he stops?
Nykk leans down over Shadow and yells at her, warning her that the next time she interferes, she will be hurt. He and the Pyro Twins exit the ring.
Cole: Finally, the carnage has stopped.
Tazz: The PPV Squad is pretty beat up, but I’m sure it won’t take long for them to respond.
INT. PROMO SET – NIGHT
Josh Matthews is standing by with Nykk.
Josh: Nykk, moments ago you orchestrated an attack on your former friends in the PPV Squad. You even shoved Shadow, a woman half your size, down to the mat. How do you explain yourself?
Nykk: I think my actions explain themselves, Josh. I’ve tried convincing, I’ve tried cajoling, I’ve tried threatening. I’ve presented my arguments in a clear and concise manner with plenty of evidence to back them up, yet those four still will not heed me. So what I’m going to do is issue a challenge for No Way Out. A six-man tag pitting myself and the Pyro Twins against Cynric, Huh and Cheesecake. The Pyro Twins saw the light. Croooooow saw the light. Now I’m going to annihilate the pathetic remnants of the PPV Squad, and they’ll have no choice but to get out of this business, because I assure you, there will be so many broken bones that they’ll be out of action forever. And Shadow… I gave you a chance tonight, sweetheart. I suggest you not interfere any further…
Rey Mysterio walks up to Nykk.
Nykk: What the hell do you want? Can’t you see I’m trying to cut a promo?
Rey: You and I have a little bit of unfinished business, Nykk. It’s been twice now that I’ve pinned you in the middle of the ring. I’m going to take that belt off of your scummy shoulder so it can be on a champion who deserves and respects it.
Nykk: Hey, that first time with Edge doesn’t count. It wasn’t an official match! But I’ll tell you what, Mysterio… how about you and I wrestle next week in a non-title match? If you win, I’ll gladly give you a shot at the Cruiserweight Title, and when I win I will make sure that I make an example out of you to those ingrates in the PPV Squad.
Rey: That’s what I want to hear.
Nykk: And another thing… I’m on to you. I’ve been watching videotapes nonstop, and I know every counter there is to the 619 and the West Coast Pop, so don’t even think about trying that again.
Rey: You know what? I’m a lot more than a two move wonder. You might just find that out next week… champ.
He taps the belt on Nykk’s shoulder and walks away.
Velocity
MATCH: Dusty Schneble vs. Crash
Dusty wins after hitting the Rope Burn. Crash attacks him after the match, but Jay intervenes and they give him Final Darkness.
