INT. BACKSTAGE – NIGHT

Shadow is at the refreshment table, getting a cup of coffee when Nidia joins her.

Nidia: You’re Shadow, right? I’m Nidia.

She holds out her hand. Shadow looks at it hesitantly, and then shakes it.

Shadow: Hi.

Nidia: Listen, I want you to know that I’ve been watching you on Raw for a long time now and I’m a big fan of your work. I don’t know if you know this, but you and Croooooow will be taking on me and Jamie this Sunday at Armageddon.

Shadow: Yeah, I know.

Nidia: And I know we’ll be on opposite sides of the ring, and I also know that you had to leave a good friend behind on Raw. So I just want you to know that if you need a friend, I’d be happy to be here for you. I mean, we already have a lot in common. One thing I want to know… who’s the best?

Shadow: Excuse me?

Nidia: You know… the PPV Squad. Who’s the best? There’s seven of them, you must have… you know…

Shadow: Eww! No! They’re like my big brothers… (realizes who she’s talking to) never mind. Where do you get the nerve, insinuating that I…

Nidia: Insinuating?

Shadow: Two things: if you interfere in Croooooow’s match tonight, you’ll have me to answer to. Secondly, unless we’re on opposite sides of the ring, stay the hell away from me.

She walks away angrily. Nidia looks angry.

Nidia: I just wanted to be friends…

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Croooooow vs. Jamie Noble

Jamie Noble’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring, along with Nidia.

Cole: Jamie Noble has been in a slump as of late, but this could be the opportunity he’s been waiting for. The winner of this match will receive a shot at Billy Kidman’s Cruiserweight Title.

Tazz: Noble really needs this win, and if his cousin Nunzio is lurking around, he may just get it.

Croooooow’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring. As he comes down the ramp, he motions behind him and Shadow comes out to accompany him.

Cole: It looks like Croooooow isn’t leaving anything to chance here. He just brought out Shadow to counteract the interfering Nidia!

Tazz: They’re throwing tomatoes at each other, Cole!

FINISH: As Croooooow lifts Noble for the Demon Driver, Noble escapes and pushes him into the ref, knocking him down. Noble kicks Croooooow and goes for a tiger bomb, but Croooooow escapes and lands on his feet, rolling Noble up with an inside cradle. The ref is still down, so Nidia comes in and turns Croooooow over so Noble is on top. The ref comes to and makes Nidia get out of the ring. Shadow comes in and turns Noble back over. With Nidia outside, the ref turns around and makes the three count.

Winner: Croooooow at 5:12

Cole: Croooooow is victorious, and will get a shot at Billy Kidman.

Tazz: It looks like bringing Shadow out here paid off. Nidia tried a little chicanery, but Croooooow still ended up with the win.

Noble meets Croooooow in the center of the ring and tells him off. Nidia shoves Noble out of the way and starts berating Croooooow herself. Shadow shoves Croooooow out of the way and starts exchanging words with Nidia. Nidia slaps her, and Shadow tackles Nidia, hitting her with right hands. The women brawl, and Noble comes over to help Nidia. Croooooow grabs him by the arm and pulls him in, lifting him and hitting the Demon Driver. He pulls Shadow off of Nidia and holds her back, as some officials come in and hold Nidia back.

Tazz: I don’t think these two like each other!

Cole: I guess not! These two have a mixed tag match to get ready for at Armageddon, and it looks like they’re not going to have any problem taking each other on.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Cynric vs. Albert

Albert’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Cole: Albert is big and bad, and has been destroying everything that’s been thrown at him on Velocity for months. And last week, he took out Rey Mysterio, who will be out of action for about a month thanks to Albert.

Tazz: I talked with Albert earlier, and he feels he’s being held down. Now’s the time to prove himself, right here on Smackdown.

Cynric’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Cole: Cynric was very vocal against coming to Smackdown, especially since Nykk deceived the rest of the PPV Squad into signing contracts.

Tazz: I guess he’s determined to make the best of it, though.

FINISH: Albert stops Cynric’s comeback with a bicycle kick. He grabs him by the throat and lifts him for the Baldo Bomb, but Cynric escapes and sends Albert down with a thrust kick in mid air. Albert slams into the ref, who goes down. Cynric charges for the Lift Off, but Albert lifts him with a military press and hits a sit out slam. He goes outside and gets a chair. He puts Cynric in the tree of woe and gets the chair ready, but Edge runs in through the crowd. He spears Albert and then takes the chair out of the ring with him. As Albert gets up, Cynric hits the Lift Off and covers. The ref wakes up and makes the three count.

Winner: Cynric at 3:23

Cole: I can’t believe it. Cynric made short work of the 350 lb. monster, Albert, with a little help from Edge!

Tazz: I guess size don’t matter to Cynric. He’ll kick your ass no matter how big you are!

INT. BACKSTAGE – NIGHT

Cynric is walking back to the locker room when he passes Matt Hardy.

Hardy: Hey, Cynric!

Cynric turns around.

Hardy: Hey, I saw your match out there and I must say… I’m impressed.

Cynric: Thanks.

Hardy: You see, since young Shannon just wasn’t working out as one of my Matt-colytes, I need a new follower of Mattitude. And I must say, you definitely exhibit the Mattributes needed to hang with Matt Hardy: Version 1. What do you say? I think the combination of Matt Hardy and Cynric could have the WWE Tag Team Titles in no time.

Cynric: I appreciate the offer, but the only friends I need are the ones I already have. My brother and I have already been World Tag Team Champions…

Hardy: Ah, but your brother Croooooow is now selfishly branching into the singles ranks. Just like my younger brother so selfishly did. Come on, Cynric. Leave behind your brother and follow me. You seem to be good at that.

Cynric: What did you say?

Hardy: I mean, you’ve obviously been following Nykk for a long time, in fact you debuted as his lackey…

Cynric: Let’s get one thing straight. Nykk is my friend, but I don’t follow him. And I sure as hell won’t follow you. So why don’t you take your Mattitude and get the hell out of my face?

Matt Hardy looks down angrily and then takes a swing at Cynric. Cynric catches his arm and takes him over with a judo throw, sending Hardy to the concrete floor. Cynric steps over him and leaves as Matt groans in pain.

INT. BACKSTAGE – NIGHT

Huh and Cheesecake are talking to Rikishi when Nykk finds them.

Nykk: What the hell is going on here?

Huh: We were just…

Nykk: You’re talking to the enemy! Don’t you know that Cheesecake and I have a match against Rikishi and Funaki next?

Rikishi: Chill out, man. We weren’t talking strategy, just shooting the breeze. Speaking of which… at Armageddon, when I give you a Stinkface… (smacks his ass) I may just shoot a little something at you, but it’ll only feel like a breeze.

He laughs and walks off as Nykk looks repulsed.

Nykk: I don’t care what you two have to do tonight or at Armageddon. If that man tries to stick his butt in my face, you stop it. I don’t care how, just don’t let it happen.

Cheesecake gives a mock salute.

Cheesecake: Yes, th’ir.

Huh: Huh?

Nykk: Pay attention. Do you want me to be humiliated? If I fall prey to a Stinkface, how’s it going to make the PPV Squad look? If he tries it, I don’t care if you have to end his career!

Nykk walks off and Cheesecake exchanges a worried glance with Huh.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk and Cheesecake vs. Rikishi and Funaki

Rikishi’s theme hits and he and Funaki make their way to the ring.

Cole: It’s time for some tag team action here on Smackdown.

Tazz: Rikishi and Funaki make quite an odd couple, don’t they?

The PPV Squad theme hits and Nykk and Cheesecake make their way to the ring, along with Huh.

Cole: Speaking of odd couples, the only thing Nykk and Cheesecake have in common is that they’re both a part of the PPV Squad.

Tazz: Nykk didn’t seem too happy about Cheesecake and Huh palling around with Rikishi earlier on.

Cole: Nykk hasn’t been the same ever since he lost to Triple H at Madison Square Garden. He’s as insecure as anyone we’ve ever seen now.

FINISH: Rikishi and Cheesecake get the hot tags. Rikishi sends Cheesecake down with some right hands and then hits a belly to belly suplex. Nykk attacks with a dropkick to the knee and Funaki comes in to hammer on Nykk. Nykk backdrops Funaki outside the ring, and Rikishi stalks Nykk. Nykk backs off and tells Huh to get on the apron. Huh does so reluctantly and distracts the ref, and Nykk signals for Cheesecake to blindside Rikishi. Cheesecake hesitates, but then charges. Rikishi gives him a thrust kick and Nykk rolls out of the ring. Rikishi drags Cheesecake to the corner and gives him a banzai drop for the three count.

Winners: Rikishi and Funaki at 4:23

Cole: Rikishi squashes Cheesecake and wins this round in his battle against Nykk…

Tazz: Wait a minute!

Nykk clips Rikishi’s knee and starts stomping on him. However, Funaki comes in and gives Nykk a spinning heel kick. He whips Nykk into the corner and charges, hitting a dropkick that staggers him. Rikishi charges and hits the reverse avalanche. Nykk falls in position for a Stinkface, and Rikishi gets ready. However, Huh drags Nykk from the ring and helps him up the ramp. Rikishi looks disappointed.

Cole: Rikishi almost humiliated Nykk by giving him a Stinkface, but luckily for him, Huh was there to save him.

Tazz: He can’t keep running forever, Cole. If Nykk doesn’t win at Armageddon, you can be sure that he’s going to have a bad taste in his mouth, and it won’t be from losing!

MATCH: The Pyro Twins vs. John Cena and B-2

The Pyro Twins win after hitting Final Darkness on Cena.
