INT. PROMO SET – NIGHT

Terri is standing by with Test.

Terri: Test, last night your team won against the PPV Squad, but it was William Regal and Lance Storm who survived. Now, it looks like the UnAmericans are through, and you have a match against Dusty Schneble later tonight.

Test: First of all, yes, the UnAmericans are finished, and believe me, I don’t want anything to do with those three ever again. It’s pretty obvious that they were the ones holding me back all along. Tonight is a new start for Test, and what better way to begin than by beating the hell out of one of the Pyro Twins? Dusty, tonight I’m going to make an example out of you and you will not pass the Test.

He leaves the set.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Cheesecake vs. Rico

Rico’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: We’re certainly set for a unique contest here as the flamboyant Rico will take on the equally flamboyant Cheesecake.

King: We know that Rico is one of Eric Bischoff’s friends, and we also know that Bischoff hates the PPV Squad. I wonder what Rico has in store for Cheesecake tonight.

Cheesecake’s theme hits and he makes his way down the ramp.

JR: The PPV Squad Fashion Plate has entered the arena, and he looks fired up for tonight’s match.

Cheesecake gets a mic.

Cheesecake: You know, I’ve been wondering th’omething th’ince you got here, Rico. What exactly wa’th it that in’th’pired you to copy my gimmick? Wa’th it my da’th’ing good look’th? Wa’th it my extraordinary ta’th’te in clothes? Whatever it wa’th, remember th’ith: I wa’th doing the Chee’th’cake gig when you were th’till fighting Turbo on American Gladiator’th! And th’ince you are th’o willing to be my bitch, that’th exactly what I’m going to make you tonight!

He gets in the ring and the bell rings.

FINISH: Cheesecake ducks a spinning heel kick from Rico but gets clotheslined. Rico sets him up for a vertical suplex, but Cheesecake thrashes his legs so he winds up on his feet and escapes. He quickly hits the Long Kiss Goodnight and pins Rico.

Winner: Cheesecake at 3:54

JR: Cheesecake is the winner, and avenges his good name I guess, on Rico.

King: I guess now we know who wins when a fashion consultant tangles with a stylist!

As Cheesecake is celebrating, Jamal and Rosey run in. They attack Cheesecake and whip him into the ropes. Jamal lifts him with a military press into a Samoan drop. Rosey then goes to the top rope and splashes Cheesecake. Rico stomps on Cheesecake furiously, but Jamal and Rosey drag him off and escort him from the ring.

JR: The Three Minute Warning has struck again, and this time Cheesecake was their victim.

King: It looks like those three are going to be the next to test the mettle of the PPV Squad, JR.

INT. PPV SQUAD LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

Nykk is sulking, while Croooooow, Cynric and Huh sit around him.

Cynric: Cheer up, Nykk, you’ll get another shot at the World Title.

Nykk: You don’t understand. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about getting rid of the Intercontinental Title to begin with, and my understanding was that if I was the World Champion, than the Intercontinental belt wouldn’t matter anymore. I should have been Champion last night! It’s not my fault. Somebody in this room cost me MY World Title last night.

He looks at Croooooow.

Croooooow: Look, I’m sorry, all right? When Kane couldn’t come down and I saw Flair interfering, I had to come down. And when Triple H hit me, I got a little carried away… you know what? The fact is, I screwed up and I’m sorry.

Nykk: I sure hope so. Who the hell do you think you are, anyway? You haven’t won a damn thing since you lost the Tag Team Titles. What makes you think you can interfere in my match, a World Title match no less?

Croooooow: Hey, I apologized, all right? I was trying to help you out. I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I cost you the World Title. I’ll make it up to you.

Nykk: That’s right. You’ll make it up to me by accompanying me to the ring when I win the Tag Team Titles back for the PPV Squad. We have a match against Christian and Chris Jericho coming up. Let’s go prepare.

Nykk leaves the locker room, and Croooooow exchanges a glance with Cynric.

Nykk: Come on!

Croooooow sighs and reluctantly follows.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Dusty Schneble vs. Test

Dusty Schneble’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: One half of the Pyro Twins is on his way down, and there is a bit of history for this match from last night. Dusty was the one who eliminated Test in their match, and then Test retaliated by causing Dusty to be eliminated moments later.

King: If Dusty brings out that flame-thrower, we might want to think about running for cover, JR. He’s mad.

Test’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Test broke away from the UnAmericans for good last night after William Regal and Lance Storm assaulted him and Christian.

King: Test is out on his own now, and like he said, this could be the start of a new page in his career.

FINISH: As Dusty makes a comeback, Stacy Keibler comes out and gets on the apron. Dusty asks her why she’s out here, but Test hits the big boot from behind, knocking Dusty out. He covers and gets the three count.

Winner: Test at 4:14

JR: Test picked up the victory, but what’s the relationship between him and Stacy?

King: I don’t know, but she helped him win the match. Maybe she has some kind of interest in him.

Stacy walks up the ramp, sizing up Test and Test looks at her with a puzzled expression on his face.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk and Croooooow vs. Christian and Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho’s theme hits and he and Christian make their way to the ring.

JR: This match will be for the World Tag Team Titles, ladies and gentlemen, and here come the champs.

King: Out of everyone in the Raw roster, JR, I can surely say I never expected these two to get together and make an impact like they have.

The PPV Squad theme hits and Nykk and Croooooow make their way to the ring.

JR: Christian and Jericho won the titles from Croooooow and his brother Cynric, and that tandem could not win them back. Maybe Nykk and Croooooow can get the job done, as they are former Tag Team Champions as well.

King: But Nykk looked to have some issues with Croooooow interfering in his World Title match last night, JR. I know they’re best friends and all, but are they on the same page tonight?

FINISH: Croooooow and Christian get hot tags. Croooooow takes down both Christian and Jericho and then applies the Carrion Stretch on Christian. Jericho breaks it up, and Nykk comes in to clothesline Jericho. Croooooow plants Christian with the Demon Driver and covers as Nykk clotheslines Jericho over the top rope. The ref tries to get Nykk out of the ring and Nykk looks over and sees Croooooow has things well in hand. He turns away to fight Jericho on the outside, but too much time has passed and Christian kicks out. Croooooow lifts him for another Demon Driver, but Christian escapes and hits the Unprettier. He covers and gets the three count.

Winners: Christian and Chris Jericho at 5:23

JR: Jericho and Christian are still Tag Team Champions, but look at Nykk!

As Jericho and Christian leave, Nykk berates Croooooow as he gets to his feet. He tells him he dropped the ball again, and Croooooow shoves Nykk away in anger, marching to the back. Nykk stares after him with a disappointed look on his face.

INT. PPV SQUAD LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

Croooooow is sitting on a bench, and Nykk is standing beside him.

Nykk: …so I look over, and lo and behold, Croooooow just planted Christian in the middle of the ring! That’s why I turned my back, I thought you had the titles won for us. What happened, Croooooow? When did you become such a loser?

Croooooow: In case you didn’t notice, Nykk, the only reason I didn’t pin Christian is because the referee was trying to get you out of the ring! And if all this is still about last night, I already apologized and I refuse to apologize anymore. You need to take a step back, think this out rationally and cool your jets. I’m out of here.

He leaves the locker room. Nykk stares after him, still angry. A few moments later, Trish Stratus walks in.

Trish: What’s with Croooooow? He looked kind of angry.

Nykk: He’s just come down with a bad case of suck lately, and I told him so.

Trish: That’s a little harsh, isn’t it?

Nykk: He cost me the World Title, Trish!

Trish: Okay, okay. Listen, about our date tonight, I thought we could go to…

Nykk: Excuse me?

Trish: I thought we could…

Nykk: How can you expect me to go out on a date with you now? My loss last night left me without a title. I have training to do, tapes to watch, opponents to prepare for. And you want to go out on some silly date? How selfish can you be?

Trish: Selfish?

Nykk: Yeah, you don’t even care that I lost my chance at the World Title last night. I think you’re being selfish.

Trish: Me? You’re the one who’s so consumed with being a champion that you can’t even make time for me, your own girlfriend. Now you’re telling your own friends that they suck? What’s with you lately?

Nykk: My eyes are finally open. Don’t you understand? No one cared about me before I had the Intercontinental Title, but once I won it, I was somebody. Now I’m back to square one, and you don’t even care, because you have a title.

Trish: I did care about your loss. But you think I didn’t because I’m the Women’s Champion? Nykk, I care for you deeply, but I liked you the way you were before this whole World Title business… and if you can’t be that Nykk anymore, than I can’t go on with this.

Nykk just stares at her.

Trish: I’m sorry.

She turns and sadly leaves the locker room. Nykk has an abandoned look on his face.

Nykk: Trish… wait…

He moves to go after her, but his pride gets the better of him and he stops, his expression turning to indifference and then anger.

Heat

MATCH: Huh and Cynric vs. Steven Richards and Justin Credible

Credible and Richards win after Richards gives Huh the Steven Kick and pins him.
