No Mercy

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Croooooow vs. Test

Test’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Here comes that mean, angry Test. He wants to take Croooooow apart tonight, King.

King: Yeah. Croooooow cost him the Intercontinental Title a few weeks ago, and now is angry at Croooooow and Cynric for taking the tag team titles from the UnAmericans.

Croooooow’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring, wearing one of the tag team titles.

JR: Here comes Croooooow, and he’s already rubbing it in Test’s face by wearing one of the belts out here for this singles match.

King: Croooooow is definitely at a size disadvantage here, but as far as speed goes, he leaves Test in his dust.

JR: It’s your classic big man vs. little man match. This should be very interesting.

As Croooooow slides into the ring, Test attacks and nails some clubbing forearms to the back. He pushes Croooooow into the corner and gives him some back elbows. He whips him to the opposite corner and charges. Croooooow tips up and then dropkicks Test into the turnbuckles. Croooooow hits him with some right hands and then whips him to the opposite corner. Test reverses, and Croooooow tips up again, but Test stops before he passes under Croooooow. He tries a clothesline, but Croooooow senses it coming and ducks. He executes a drop toehold and tries to apply the Carrion Stretch. Test elbows him in the face a couple of times and Croooooow releases the pressure. Test gets up and hits him with a forearm. He whips Croooooow into the corner and charges, but Croooooow gets his feet up. He then goes to the second rope and hits a missile dropkick. He makes the cover, but only gets a two count. They both get up and Croooooow ducks a clothesline and kicks Test in the midsection. He delivers a DDT and then goes to the top rope.

He goes for a guillotine legdrop, but Test moves and hits a full nelson slam. He covers and gets a two count. He picks Croooooow up and executes a gutwrench powerbomb and covers for another two count. Test gets up and signals for the big boot. He charges, but Croooooow ducks under it, only to turn around and receive a hard clothesline from Test. Test picks him up and throws him into the corner, giving him some kicks. He chokes Croooooow with his boot. He brings him to the center of the ring and goes for the pumphandle powerslam, but Croooooow escapes and gets a waistlock. He runs with Test to the ropes and then rolls him up for a two count. Test immediately gets up and hits a back body drop on a charging Croooooow. He hits a legdrop and covers for a two count. He applies a reverse chinlock on the mat, and Croooooow soon fades. The ref drops his hand two times, but Croooooow keeps his hand up the third time. He fights his way to his feet and elbows his way out of the hold. He bounces off the ropes, but Test executes a sidewalk slam.

He signals that he’s going for one more, and picks Croooooow up. He whips him into the ropes, but Croooooow counters the slam with a flying headscissors, taking Test over. Test throws a right, but Croooooow blocks and hits a couple of his own. He whips Test into the ropes, but it’s reversed. Test lifts Croooooow into the air, but Croooooow takes him over again with a hurricanrana. He then hits a hangman’s neckbreaker and covers for a two count. He tries to whip Test into the corner, but he reverses and charges, hitting a clothesline. He whips Croooooow into the ropes and goes for the big boot, but Croooooow rolls under it and back to his feet. He charges, and Test puts his head down for a back body drop. Croooooow counters with a swinging DDT and covers for a close two count. Lance Storm suddenly runs down and hops on the apron, distracting the ref. As Croooooow turns to Storm, Christian runs in through the crowd and executes a reverse DDT on Croooooow. Test gets up and distracts the ref while Storm and Christian get chairs. They prepare for a Conchairto, but Croooooow ducks. Christian and Storm drop the chairs, and Croooooow bounces off the ropes, hitting a double flying clothesline. He hits a Demon Driver on Christian, and then gives one to Storm. Test comes back over, and Croooooow attempts a Demon Driver, but Test escapes and counters right into the Test Drive. He covers Croooooow and gets the three count.

Winner: Test at 7:38

JR: Test has just beaten Croooooow right here at No Mercy, but once again couldn’t do it without the help of the other UnAmericans!

King: It looks like Croooooow went for one too many Demon Drivers.

JR: That just goes to show you that a victory can come at any time, and Croooooow just learned that the hard way.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk vs. William Regal

William Regal’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: The Intercontinental Title is on the line, and here comes William Regal, who has sort of taken over the leadership position in the UnAmericans over the past few weeks.

King: He looks ready tonight. I wish he’d go jump off the London Bridge or something.

JR: This is an important match for the PPV Squad, because as per the UnAmericans’ ransom demands from a few weeks back, if Nykk loses the title to Regal, the PPV Squad must disband for six months. That means no teaming together, no more sharing a locker room, nothing.

Nykk’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring, along with Trish Stratus.

JR: The leader of the PPV Squad looks apprehensive, and rightfully so. There’s a lot riding on how well he does in this match. This should be an interesting encounter. Regal and Nykk have met before, but never in a big match situation.

King: You think Trish is out here as a little insurance, JR?

JR: Knowing Nykk, I sincerely doubt that. You heard them say a couple of weeks ago that they’re sticking together from now on, so she’s only out here to lend her support to her boyfriend.

The bell rings and Nykk and Regal circle each other. They lock up and jockey for position. Nykk shoves Regal away and then motions for him to bring it on. They lock up again and push against each other, but Regal hits Nykk with a European uppercut. He backs Nykk into a corner and gives him some more uppercuts and some left hands. Nykk puts his hands up to block his face, but Regal goes to work on the midsection instead. Nykk retaliates with some hard right hands, and the ref steps in between to separate the two. Nykk spits at Regal, who gets angry and charges. Nykk throws Regal into the corner and hits him with right hands. He whips him to the opposite corner and charges, but Regal steps off the bottom turnbuckle and hits Nykk with a forearm. He whips Nykk into the ropes, but it gets reversed, and Nykk sends Regal down with a running leg lariat. He covers and gets a one count. Regal gets to his feet and Nykk gives him some knife-edge chops. He whips him into the ropes, but Regal reverses. Nykk slides under Regal’s legs and hits him with a standing leg lariat to the back of the head. Regal goes through the ropes and to the outside. Nykk slides out after him and tries to ram his head into the ring post, but Regal blocks and rams Nykk’s head into the post. He then lifts Nykk and bounces him off the ropes to let him crash to the floor. Regal gets in the ring and Nykk lays stunned on the floor. Nykk crawls back into the ring, but Regal stomps the shoulder. He picks Nykk up and applies an armwringer, snapping Nykk over to his back and dropping a leg on the shoulder. He applies an armbar, and Nykk makes it to his feet. He backs Regal into the ropes and whips him to the opposite side.

Regal sends him down with a shoulderblock and then bounces off the ropes. Nykk drops down and Nykk hits a running back elbow, sending Regal down. He picks Regal up and executes a backbreaker. He covers and gets a two count. They get to their feet and Nykk executes a snap suplex. He goes to the top rope, but Regal gets to his feet and climbs to the first turnbuckle, hitting Nykk in the midsection. He goes to the second rope for a superplex, but Nykk shoves him back to the mat. Nykk hits a splash from the top rope and covers for a two count. He picks Regal up and executes a rolling Samoan drop. He goes for the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf, but Regal hits him with some forearms and then kicks him away. Nykk hits him with some right hands and then whips him into the ropes. He puts his head down and Regal hits a swinging neckbreaker. They both stagger to their feet and Regal grabs Nykk by the hair, giving him a left knee to the face, then a right, then both, sending Nykk back down. He stomps Nykk’s head as he gets back to his feet. He takes Nykk over by applying an overhand wristlock and then pulling backward, sending Nykk down and then applies a cross armbreaker. After a few moments, Nykk makes it to the ropes. Regal breaks the hold and continues to kick at the shoulder. He kicks Nykk in the midsection and then bounces off the ropes, landing a kick to Nykk’s skull. As he gets to his knees, Regal crosses both of Nykk’s arms and stands behind him, putting a knee in the back. After about twenty seconds, Nykk powers his way up and reverses the hold. He turns it into a modified camel clutch, with both of Regal’s arms crossed in front of him instead of his arms draped over Nykk’s knees. After about fifteen seconds, Regal manages to get a foot on the bottom rope and Nykk has to break the hold.

As Regal gets up, Nykk moves in but Regal kicks a leg back and hits a low blow. Nykk staggers, and Regal sends him down with a European uppercut. He applies the Regal Stretch, and really wrenches back. After about twenty seconds, Nykk manages to reach the ropes, but Regal drags him back to the center of the ring to put it on again. He doesn’t manage to lock his fingers right and Nykk powers out of it, hitting him with a hard right. Regal picks him up and knees him in the face before going for a butterfly powerbomb. Nykk counters with a hurricanrana and hooks the leg for a close two count. Regal immediately gets up and stomps Nykk in the head. He picks him up and backs him against the ropes, hitting some hard forearms and uppercuts. He whips Nykk into the ropes and tries a clothesline, but Nykk ducks and hooks the arm, spinning around Regal and segueing right into a half nelson bulldog. They both lay there as the ref starts the count. At seven, they get to their feet. Nykk hits Regal with some right hands and whips him into the ropes. Regal ducks a clothesline but Nykk takes him down with a dropkick to the knee on the rebound. Regal gets up and Nykk kicks at the knee, sending Regal back down. He picks Regal up, but he rakes Nykk’s eyes. He tries a kick, but Nykk catches his foot and executes a dragon screw legwhip. He applies the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf, but Regal struggles and manages to make it to the ropes after about ten seconds. Nykk picks him up for a powerslam, but Regal escapes and pushed Nykk into the ref, who goes down. Regal tries a scoop slam, but Nykk escapes and hits Crimson Moon. He covers, but the ref is still down. Nykk goes over and revives the ref, but Regal reaches into his trunks and pulls out two pairs of brass knuckles. He puts one pair on each hand and spins Nykk around. Nykk blocks the right hand and tries to wrench the brass knuckles off Regal’s fist. However, Regal connects with a left hand and Nykk goes down, out cold. Regal drops one of the pairs of brass knuckles and puts the other back in his trunks. He covers Nykk, but the ref turns around and sees the brass knuckles on the mat. He refuses to count, and Regal gets up, telling the ref to make the count. The ref questions him about the brass knuckles, and Regal denies using them. They have a lengthy argument, and finally the ref tells him to wrestle. Regal picks up Nykk’s limp body, but Nykk suddenly rolls Regal up with an inside cradle with the last of his energy, getting a surprise three count.

Winner: Nykk at 13:09

King: Wait a minute… what just happened!?

JR: Nykk came out of nowhere with an inside cradle and got the three count!

King: I thought he was out!

JR: So did I, and he’s still lying in the ring, but he must have summoned up the last of his strength to roll Regal up like that.

In the ring, Nykk staggers to his feet as Regal vents his frustration at the ref. Suddenly, Regal decks the ref and walks over to Nykk and Trish. He grabs Trish by the hair and throws her out of the ring. He grabs Nykk and hits his Union Jack neckbreaker. He then applies the Regal Stretch, and Nykk taps out after a few moments.

JR: Come on, Regal. You were beaten fair and square. There’s no need for this.

King: Regal has to be furious. Not only did he lose his chance to be Intercontinental Champion, but the PPV Squad is still intact.

Some more officials come down, but Regal lets go on his own. His theme plays as he exits the ring.

JR: This feud is not over, because I know for a fact that Nykk is not going to stand for this. Nonetheless, Nykk is still Intercontinental Champion, and the PPV Squad isn’t going anywhere.
