INT. ARENA – NIGHT

The PPV Squad theme hits as the entire PPV Squad, except for Huh, make their way to the ring. Balloons and streamers fall from the ceiling of the arena.

JR: The PPV Squad is out here, but what’s all this about?

King: I don’t know, but it looks to be a celebration of some kind.

JR: I don’t know why the PPV Squad would be celebrating when their fellow member Huh was abducted last week by the UnAmericans.

Nykk gets a mic.

Nykk: Tonight is a very special night for the PPV Squad. If you recall, one year ago this week, the PPV Squad burst onto the scene right here on Raw. There have been many memorable moments involving the PPV Squad. Remember when we completely screwed over the nWo and humiliated them in front of the world? How about when Croooooow became the European Champion of Europe? One of my personal favorites, of course, was me winning the Intercontinental Title and unifying it with the Hardcore and European titles. Well, tonight will be no exception for the PPV Squad. It will be a memorable night indeed, because tonight you will see Cynric take on Rico! Also, tonight I will do something unprecedented, and something I have never done before. You know, one of my personal favorite moments this year was winning the tag team titles with Croooooow. Now, I have an Intercontinental Title defense against Chris Jericho later on, one of the best guys in the business. But after I beat Jericho, I’m going to team with Croooooow and we’ll go after the tag team titles when we take on Lance Storm and Christian! And finally, the Huh problem. There’s a big gaping hole in the lineup out here because Huh is still being held hostage by the UnAmericans. Tonight, after we win the tag team titles again, I will personally see to it that Huh is returned to us and he’ll be celebrating right alongside us. So UnAmericans, do you accept our challenge tonight or what?

Suddenly, the UnAmericans appear on the TitanTron. They look to be in a dingy room somewhere with Huh, who is still tied up.

Storm: So this is the American way? It’s the American way to celebrate when one of your closest friends is being kept prisoner? What kind of people are you?

Christian: It’s your first anniversary. The anniversary of the PPV Squad. So what? Come No Mercy, that Intercontinental Title will be in our camp, and Croooooow will be taken out by Test.

Regal: Once again, I am beget by these filthy, greasy-looking pillocks who think they’re worthy enough to merit an anniversary celebration. You eight cretins have been a thorn in my side for long enough, but it will be all worth it at No Mercy when I take the Intercontinental Title and bring a little prestige back to it.

Nykk: All right, that’s about enough of that. You can talk about the American way all you want, but this segment’s running too long without any wrestling. That’s the PPV Squad way. We back it up in the ring. So how about it? Me and Croooooow vs. Storm and Christian for the titles!

Storm: We accept your challenge, Nykk, but the real reason we’re here is to give you our demands for this week. Actually, we only have one demand. If William Regal wins the Intercontinental Title from you, Nykk, at No Mercy, the PPV Squad must disband for six months!

King: What!?

JR: Of all the cowardly… they just want the PPV Squad out of their way, and heaven forbid they try to actually win the feud.

Storm: That means no teaming together, no interfering in each other’s matches, not driving in the same cars, staying in the same hotel rooms or even speaking to each other backstage!

Up in the ring, Nykk gets somber and confers with the rest of the Squad.

Nykk: Okay, we agree. No PPV Squad for six months if I lose the title at No Mercy! The only reasons we agree is for the sake of Huh’s welfare, and the fact that I know it would break his heart if you were to end his career for him. And second, I have faith. I know that I can beat William Regal, you snobby bitch, even though I don’t have your experience. Hell, I’ve gotten this far. I beat the hell out of X-pac; I beat Eddie Guerrero for this belt; you’re just another obstacle, and like those before you, you will fall by my hands.

Storm: Splendid. And just so you don’t try to weasel out of your promises, we’ll show you how serious we really are.

They all step aside and Test steps back, suddenly giving Huh the big boot. Huh goes down, knocked unconscious. In the ring, the PPV Squad furiously whisper threats toward the UnAmericans at each other.

Storm: See you guys later… and after No Mercy… much later.

The TitanTron goes blank, and in the ring, the Squad decides to search out the UnAmericans. They get out of the ring and stalk up the ramp without any music.

JR: The PPV Squad is enraged at what the UnAmericans just did to their friend. Knocking out a man whose hands are tied. Give me a break.

INT. PPV SQUAD LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

Nykk stretches, getting ready for his match against Jericho. Trish is also there and puts a worried arm on his shoulder.

Trish: Are you sure you want to go through with this? Wrestling twice in one night against guys like Jericho and the UnAmericans?

Nykk: I don’t really have a choice. I was already booked against Jericho, and you know what we have to do. As long as the UnAmericans have the tag team titles, we have to wear their stupid shirts during our matches. Croooooow and I can beat them. I know we can.

Trish: Hopefully the rest of the Squad can find them and get Huh to safety.

Nykk: Even if they do, we’re still bound by the promises we made. Regal gets me at No Mercy, Test gets Croooooow, we have to wear their shirts, and if I lose the title at No Mercy, the PPV Squad goes dark for six months.

Trish: Well, don’t worry. I’ll be right here by your side through everything.

Nykk: No, Trish, I want you to stay away from ringside during my matches, especially tonight. I have my doubts about Jericho’s mental faculties. Who knows what he could do…

Trish: No. I’m coming with you. From now on, we stand side by side. Just like it should be.

Nykk: You’re right, as usual. I still don’t like it, though. What if you get hurt?

Trish: What if you lose at No Mercy? Let’s not worry about the problem until it rears itself, all right?

Nykk: (nods) Okay. You’re right. Let’s mosey, beautiful.

He puts an arm around her and they leave the locker room.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk vs. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Nykk might not even make it to No Mercy as the Intercontinental Champion, because tonight he has to face the former WWE Champion, Chris Jericho, and from what we understand, this will be a Leather Strap Match.

King: Jericho wasn’t only the champion, he was the first ever Undisputed Champion. Nykk doesn’t stand a chance.

Nykk’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring with Trish Stratus.

King: It’s Trish! She and Nykk are arm in arm!

JR: The golden couple of WWE is on their way to ringside, as Nykk gets set for his toughest title defense to date.

FINISH: Jericho applies the Walls of Jericho, but Nykk makes it to the ropes. Jericho tries to pull him off, but Nykk desperately clings to the bottom rope until the ref makes Jericho relinquish the hold. Jericho tries a snap suplex, but Nykk escapes and hits Howling Moon I, but is too hurt to make the cover. Instead, he crawls over and applies the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf on the mat. He stands up to properly execute the hold, and holds it until Jericho is incapacitated. Nykk touches three of the corners of the ring, but Christian runs down with a chair and hits Nykk over the head with it. The ref calls for the bell as Lance Storm reaches the ring with another chair.

Winner: Nykk at 7:45

JR: Nykk was about to make the former World Champion tap out, but the UnAmericans have come down and saved their Canadian friend.

They wait for Nykk to get up and then deliver the Conchairto. Nykk falls to the mat, unconscious, as Test and William Regal run to the ring. Trish tries to intervene, but Regal holds her arms behind her back while the UnAmericans work over Nykk with stomps. Test moves in and hits Nykk with some rights, but Croooooow, Cynric and the Pyro Twins come out. Storm, Christian and Regal run for it, and Croooooow pulls Test off Nykk and starts hitting him with rights.

JR: The troops have arrived, and they’re clearing the ring of the UnAmericans!

King: It’s total mayhem, JR!

Test manages to crawl out through the ropes and he backs up the ramp with the rest of the UnAmericans. He points threateningly at Croooooow, while Croooooow tells him to bring it. Cynric, Trish and the Pyro Twins tend to Nykk.

JR: The UnAmericans have been driven away, but the damage has been done. What kind of condition will Nykk be in when he steps in the ring with Croooooow later tonight to go after the tag team titles?

Nykk regains consciousness and the Pyro Twins help him to the back.

INT. PPV SQUAD LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

Croooooow is staring at Nykk, who is holding an ice pack to his head. Trish stands behind him.

Croooooow: Are you sure about this? Cynric could easily replace you, and we don’t even know what type of match we’re in…

Nykk: No, I’ll be fine. How else are we going to get rid of these damn shirts? Listen, I know you and Cynric are brothers, but you and I have more experience as a team, plus we’ve already done this before. We dominated the tag team division for two and a half months, and probably would have won the belts back and dominated it some more if we didn’t have singles issues to contend with. We can do this. I know we can.

Croooooow: All right. I have faith in you, but I’m still not sure this is a good idea, with you already busted up and all.

Nykk: I’m all right.

Croooooow: All right, if you say so.

He exchanges a worried look with Trish.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk and Croooooow vs. Lance Storm and Christian

The PPV Squad theme hits and Nykk and Croooooow make their way to the ring, accompanied by Trish Stratus. Nykk can be seen favoring his head. We still don’t know what type of match this will be.

JR: Nykk was hurt bad in his match with Chris Jericho earlier, but he is here now standing beside Croooooow, hoping to add some more gold to his collection.

King: They don’t look comfortable wearing those UnAmerican shirts, JR. If they win the tag titles here, this is the only night they’ll have to put up with them.

The UnAmericans’ theme hits and Lance Storm and Christian make their way to the ring.

JR: The Tag Team Champions have entered the arena. Wherever they’re hiding Huh, it must be a good place, because we’ve been getting word all night that the PPV Squad has been tearing this place apart trying to find them.

King: The UnAmericans better take care not to go too far over the line, or we might see the PPV Squad do something drastic. And whatever that is, I don’t think the UnAmericans want to experience it.

Eric Bischoff appears on the TitanTron along with the Raw Roulette Wheel.

Bischoff: And now we’ll find out what the stipulation for this match will be!

He spins the wheel and it stops on Submission.

Bischoff: There you go! This Tag Team Title match will be a Submission Match! Thank you!

FINISH: Nykk becomes the face-in-peril and Storm and Christian double team him relentlessly. Finally, Nykk manages to duck a double clothesline and hit a double dropkick. Instead of tagging Croooooow, Nykk fights back. He manages to clothesline Christian over the top rope and then clotheslines Storm. However, that overextends him and he holds his head in pain. Storm snapmares him over and applies a headscissors. Nykk soon passes out, and the ref raises and drops his hand three times before calling for the bell.

Winners: Lance Storm and Christian at 5:24

JR: Nykk gave it his all, but the injuries he sustained earlier tonight took too much of a toll on him. Hopefully he hasn’t suffered a concussion or any head trauma.

King: Nykk’s tough, but I don’t think anyone could take the punishment he took and then expect to wrestle the Tag Team Champions.

Croooooow comes in to check on Nykk as Storm and Christian exit the ring. However, on the way up the ramp, the Pyro Twins come marching down and stand in their way. Storm and Christian decide to turn back and go through the crowd, but Cynric steps over the guardrail to stand in their path. They try to go the other way, but Cheesecake is blocking their way. They start to converge on the UnAmericans.

JR: I don’t think a message was ever clearer. Take us to Huh, you anti-American bastards.

King: This is going to get ugly, JR.

The PPV Squad charges and beats the crap out of Storm and Christian. Trish and Croooooow manage to revive Nykk in the meantime. All of a sudden, Test and William Regal come out on the stage, dragging Huh behind them. Test waves his arms to get the PPV Squad’s attention.

JR: There he is! There’s Huh, right up there on the stage.

Jay charges, but gets clotheslined by Test. Regal knocks Cynric down with brass knuckles, and Test gives a big boot to Cheesecake. They double team Dusty, but Croooooow runs up the ramp with a chair, cracking it across the head of Test. As Dusty battles with Regal, Croooooow runs up the ramp and unties Huh, who hugs him a bit too enthusiastically. Croooooow tries to push him away. Regal walks toward them up the ramp, but Nykk charges and hits him from behind with the last of his strength. He goes to his knees, and Trish helps him up.

JR: My God, there are bodies everywhere!

King: All four UnAmericans are down, and so is most of the PPV Squad.

Croooooow props Nykk up and the PPV Squad theme plays. Huh gives Nykk a hug too, nearly sending him toppling again.

JR: They didn’t come out unscathed, but the PPV Squad has reclaimed their friend. But will they keep their promises to the UnAmericans? Will they continue to wear their t-shirts and will they disband for six months if Nykk loses at No Mercy?

Heat

MATCH: Cynric vs. Justin Credible

Cynric beats Credible after hitting the Lift Off.

MATCH: The Pyro Twins vs. Rosie and Jamal

Rosie and Jamal pick up the victory after Rosie pins Jay with a splash from the top rope.
