7/15/02-7/21/02
INT. ARENA - NIGHT
MATCH: The Pyro Twins vs. Shawn Stasiak and Crash
Shawn Stasiak and Crash are already in the ring as the Pyro Twins' theme hits and they make their way to the ring.
JR: The Pyro Twins are back on Raw, and they're pissed off at Justin Credible and Mike Awesome.
King: Yeah. I feel sorry for poor Crash and Stasiak, getting the Pyro Twins on their return match.
FINISH: Basically a squash, with the Pyro Twins hitting their double team moves, including a new one where Dusty lifts Crash in a vertical suplex and drops him, while Jay catches him with a powerbomb. They finally show mercy and hit Final Darkness on Crash for the win.
Winners: The Pyro Twins at 3:01
JR: The Pyro Twins are certainly back, and what a way to send a message to Awesome and Credible.
The Pyro Twins get a mic.
Dusty: Hey, Mike Awesome! Justin Credible! We have to hand it to you guys. Up until three weeks ago, we had gotten soft. You caught us off-guard and took us out. Well done. You've made a name for yourself. Unfortunately for you, you didn't get the job done properly! Now the real Pyro Twins are back, and we're challenging you two to a no holds barred match at Vengeance.
Jay retrieves a flame-thrower from under the ring.
Dusty: That means anything is legal. Kendo sticks... tables... and even... fire!
Jay launches some flames into the air as their theme plays.
King: I don't like the looks of this!
JR: A challenge has been issued here. Justin Credible and Mike Awesome claim to be extreme, but can they take the heat of the Pyro Twins?
INT. PROMO SET - NIGHT
Jonathan Coachman is standing by with Justin Credible and Mike Awesome.
Coach: Justin Credible, Mike Awesome, you have just been challenged to a no holds barred match at Vengeance by the Pyro Twins. So I guess what everyone wants to know is... do you accept?
Credible: Yeah, Coach, we definitely accept. The Pyro Twins want to set us on fire, but at Vengeance, they're the ones who get burned...
Suddenly, Croooooow runs in with a chair and hits Mike Awesome over the head with it. As Awesome goes down, Cynric attacks Credible with his bo, sending him down.
Cynric: Don't think that just because you have a match with the Pyro Twins that our business is finished. I want you in a one on one match next week, Justin Credible!
He and Croooooow leave the set.
INT. ARENA - NIGHT
MATCH: Cynric vs. Steven Richards
Steven Richards's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
JR: The participants of our next match are on their way down, and first up is Steven Richards.
King: He just hasn't been the same since Jazz has been out with an injury. He even lost his Hardcore Title to Bradshaw!
Cynric's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
JR: Cynric just attacked Justin Credible and Mike Awesome backstage with help from his brother Croooooow. According to him, just because the Pyro Twins are back doesn't mean Credible's business with him is finished.
King: Cynric may end up regretting the day he messed with Justin Credible and Mike Awesome, I can tell you that right now.
FINISH: As Cynric sets up for the Lift Off, Justin Credible runs down and jumps on the apron. Cynric takes a swing, but Credible drops to the floor. Richards tries to attack from behind, but Cynric kicks him in the midsection and goes for the Shock Cannon. Richards escapes and pushes Cynric to the ropes, making sure to distract the ref. Credible nails Cynric with the kendo stick and takes off. Richards covers and gets the win.
Winner: Steven Richards at 4:02
JR: Justin Credible cost Cynric the match, which he would have won if he had nailed the Lift Off.
King: He deserved it, JR. That?s what you get for attacking Justin Credible from behind.
INT. PROMO SET - NIGHT
Jonathan Coachman is standing by with Nykk and Croooooow.
Coach: Nykk, Croooooow, your match against the Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero and the European Champion William Regal is up next. Last week, Nykk, you kind of lost your temper, which led to you issuing this challenge. Some have speculated that Guerrero and Regal are setting a trap for you tonight. How do you respond to that?
Nykk: Of course it's a trap. Don?t you think I, of all people Coach, would know a trap when I see one? That's why I didn't demand a match right there last week. Eddie Guerrero is going to see just how crafty I can be at Vengeance, but I thought I'd better let Regal know that you don't piss me off, or you get hurt. I'm the guy who nearly ended Edge's career, duped the nWo, broke X-pac's hand, and last week defeated a seven-foot tall monster in the Big Show. You don't want me angry, Regal, and you're dangerously close to that fine line. The man next to me helped beat Jerry Lynn out of the company, retired Diamond Dallas Page, also duped the nWo, and also kicked the crap out X-pac, not to mention the Irish Temper factor.
Croooooow: Regal, you and I have been fighting each other for months now. It's time to end this thing. Last week, you cost me the Intercontinental Title, so I have no choice. I'll just have to take you out. It won't happen tonight, but soon, Regal, soon. Best of luck to you tonight, but God save you in the future.
They leave the set.
INT. ARENA - NIGHT
MATCH: Nykk and Croooooow vs. Eddie Guerrero and William Regal
William Regal's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
JR: This whole tag match came about because of a confrontation Regal had with Nykk last week.
Eddie Guerrero's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.
King: It's Latino Heat!
JR: The Intercontinental Champion is on his way to the ring. You have to wonder if he may be trying to catch Nykk out of his element by angering him. He has a title defense against Nykk this Sunday, King.
The PPV Squad theme hits and Nykk and Croooooow make their way to the ring.
JR: Reunited as a tag team for the first time in months, Croooooow and Nykk are on their way down.
King: They may have held onto the tag team titles for awhile, but they just can't compete with the experience of Eddie Guerrero and William Regal.
FINISH: At the beginning of the match, Guerrero manages to clip Nykk's knee with the Intercontinental belt. Nykk favors his knee during the match, but ends up turning the tide as Regal and Guerrero go for a double back body drop. Nykk holds onto them and takes them over in a double neckbreaker. He tags Croooooow, who comes in with a clothesline for Guerrero and a dropkick for Regal. He executes a tiger suplex with a bridge on Eddie, but he kicks out. Regal forearms him from behind, but Nykk gets back in and brawls with Regal. He takes him down with a running leg lariat as Eddie whips Croooooow into the ropes and puts his head down. Croooooow lifts him into a standing version of the End. Guerrero rolls out of the ring as Regal tries a clothesline, but Nykk ducks and takes him down. He applies the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf, and Regal taps. Croooooow adds on a modified version of the Carrion Stretch, only utilizing the crossface part of it.
Winners: Nykk and Croooooow at 5:30
JR: The former tag team champions have beaten the European Champion and the Intercontinental Champion!
King: Wait a minute, that's not legal, is it? Croooooow was helping Nykk when he had the Cedarleaf applied to Regal!
An enraged William Regal gets on the mic and confronts Nykk and Croooooow.
Regal: This is bloody disgusting officiating! Ref, don't you know that double submissions are illegal? I demand a rematch right now!
JR: What is he talking about? He tapped before Croooooow put him in the Carrion Stretch.
Croooooow moves in to accept the challenge, but Regal hits him with a quick left jab, showing that he had put on his brass knuckles. Croooooow falls to the mat unconscious as Guerrero clotheslines Nykk from behind. They stomp on the knee, and Eddie even applies a spinning toehold. Regal grapevines the leg while Eddie goes up top and delivers the frog splash. Eddie's music plays as he and Regal celebrate.
JR: Well, Nykk and Croooooow are the winners, but I think Eddie got what he wanted out of this match. What kind of shape will Nykk be in at Vengeance?
Heat
INT. PROMO SET - NIGHT
Lillian Garcia is standing by with Nykk.
Lillian: Nykk, tonight you take on Eddie Guerrero for the Intercontinental Championship. But what everyone is wondering is how is your knee?
Nykk: My knee's feeling a lot better today, actually. You know what, Lillian? I could see it last Monday and it was quite a stunning realization. Eddie Guerrero fears me. That's why he's trying to make this feud personal. If it's about anything other than winning the gold, he knows that will throw me off my game plan. I'll warn you again, Guerrero... don't make this personal. You don't want me to get personal. All you need to worry about is when I lock in the Cedarleaf and you feel the muscles stretching in your body, and make sure to let out the most painful scream imaginable before tapping out. I like that.
William Regal walks onto the set.
Regal: What the bloody hell is this? I get denied for a title rematch with Jeff Hardy, but this bloody barbarian is getting a title shot, and is now standing here talking about doing sadistic things to a friend of mine? I don't think so, sunshine.
Nykk: I must really bother you, Regal. It was all fine and nice back when I was fighting X-pac, but now that I've moved farther up the ladder than you, you just can't stand it, can you? But you know what? You have more important things to worry about. Look behind you!
The camera backs up to show Croooooow standing behind Regal.
Regal: If you think I'm going to fall for some juvenile trick like that you are sadly mistaken...
Croooooow forearms him from behind, sending him to the ground. Lillian bails as Croooooow locks in the Carrion Stretch and makes Regal tap out. After a few moments, he lets up.
Croooooow: That's right, Regal. The reason you get no title shot is because you now have a match with me tonight on the pay-per-view! And this is exactly what's going to happen in just a few minutes. I'll see you in the ring!
He walks off, along with Nykk, who had been calmly watching the entire thing.
