King of the Ring

INT. ARENA - NIGHT

MATCH: Croooooow and Shadow vs. William Regal and Molly Holly

William Regal's theme hits and he and Molly make their way to the ring.

JR: Here we go with mixed tag action. A lot has been building to this match. Of course, Croooooow and Regal have been feuding since Regal took the European Title from him back at Insurrextion in London.

King: And then the ladies involved themselves, JR.

JR: Absolutely.

The PPV Squad theme hits and Croooooow and Shadow make their way to the ring.

JR: What a story behind this team. This girl came out of the crowd a few weeks ago, which we don't condone, but it seems that at least Croooooow has taken a shine to this young lady and wants her to be a member of the PPV Squad.

King: But the vote has to be unanimous. If she fails to impress, her butt goes back on the street.

JR: We've yet to see that girl Shadow step into the ring, so now's our opportunity to see what she's got. She hasn't really impressed many since her debut. Plus, you?ve got to think that Croooooow is still hurting from the attack by Molly and Regal on Monday. This should be a very interesting contest.

Shadow and Molly meet in the middle of the ring and start to chew each other out. Finally, Shadow smacks Molly in the face, spinning her around. Shadow crouches as the bell rings and when Molly turns around, she nails her with a running forearm, taking them both down. She grabs Molly by the hair and yanks her to her feet. She snapmares her over and then bounces off the ropes, dropkicking Molly in the face. Molly crawls desperately to her corner and tags Regal. Regal comes in, but instead of backing off, Shadow nails him in the jaw with another forearm. As Regal staggers around the ring, Croooooow calls for the tag and gets it. Croooooow comes in and nails Regal with some right hands, backing him into the corner. He whips him to the opposite corner, and hits him with a reverse elbow as he comes out of the corner. Croooooow covers and gets a one count. Regal gets up and tries a left hand, but Croooooow ducks and kicks him in the midsection. He bounces off the ropes and hits a swinging neckbreaker on Regal. Regal crawls backwards to the corner and begs off, but Croooooow moves in anyway.

Regal grabs him by the pants and pulls him in, ramming Croooooow's head into the second turnbuckle. Regal gets up and kicks Croooooow in the right shoulder. He applies an armwringer and elbows the shoulder joint. He wrings on the arm again, flipping Croooooow down to the mat. Regal stomps the shoulder again, still holding Croooooow's arm. He picks Croooooow up and executes a back suplex. He tags Molly, who comes into the ring and stomps on Croooooow. She picks him up and whips him into the corner. Croooooow stops himself and turns around, taking off his shirt to reveal a black shirt underneath with an arrow pointing down on it. Molly's eyes naturally follow the arrow down, and she gets a disgusted look on her face, tagging Regal. He comes in, but Croooooow hits a drop toehold. Croooooow spins around to apply a front facelock, but Regal counters into a hammerlock. Regal gets to his feet and stomps the shoulder. He picks Croooooow up and whips him into the ropes.

Croooooow ducks a clothesline and bounces off the ropes, hitting a flying shoulder tackle. Croooooow writhes in pain on the mat, holding his shoulder. Regal moves in and tries to pick Croooooow up, but he executes an inside cradle, getting a close two count on Regal. They get to their feet and Regal pokes Croooooow in the eye. He tries to whip Croooooow into the corner, but it?s reversed. Regal goes front first into the turnbuckles, and Croooooow executes a tiger buster. He covers and gets another two count. Shadow asks for the tag and Croooooow gives it to her.

She hits Regal with some forearms and tries to whip him into the ropes, but he counters with an armwringer and pulls her in, hitting a short arm clothesline. He throws her back to her corner, and Croooooow comes in, checking on her. Regal grabs Croooooow and throws him shoulder first through the turnbuckles and into the ring post. He grabs Croooooow by the hair and gives him a couple of knees to the face, finishing the sequence by throwing both knees up into his face. He picks Croooooow up and backs him up against the ropes, nailing him with some forearms.

He tries a left hand, but Croooooow ducks and hits Regal with some knife edge chops. He whips Regal into the ropes but it's reversed. Croooooow executes a flying headscissors, taking Regal over. He hits a running clothesline and then bounces off the ropes, hitting a running dropkick. He covers and gets a two count. He scoop slams Regal and goes to the top rope.

Molly drops to the floor, shaking the top rope and crotching Croooooow. Regal goes to the top rope and sets Croooooow up for a butterfly powerbomb from the top rope. As he gets him up, Croooooow somersaults over Regal's back, landing on his feet and powerbombs Regal off the top rope. Croooooow collapses and both crawl to their corners. They tag Molly and Shadow at about the same time. Shadow ducks a clothesline from Molly and hits one of her own. She whips Molly into the corner and tries a back body drop, but Molly lands on her feet and forearms her from behind. She executes three rolling vertical suplexes on Shadow, floating over on the last one and getting a two count.

She picks Shadow up and whips her into the ropes and tries a clothesline, but Shadow blocks the clothesline and spins her around, hitting a belly-to-belly suplex. She covers, but Regal makes the save at two. Croooooow comes in and takes him out with a forearm. They back Regal and Molly into opposite corners and lay in some forearms and chops. They try to whip them into each other, but Regal and Molly reverse. Croooooow leapfrogs Shadow, and clotheslines Molly at the same time that Shadow executes a hurricanrana on Regal. Croooooow goes over and lifts Regal as Shadow lifts Molly and they execute simultaneous Demon Drivers. They cover and the ref makes a double count, but Molly kicks out and Regal gets a foot on the rope. Regal rolls out of the ring as Shadow picks up Molly.

Molly rakes the eyes and whips Shadow into the ropes, hitting a spinebuster. She covers for a two count. On the outside, Croooooow goes to the top rope and hits a plancha on Regal, taking them both out. Molly scoop slams Shadow and goes to the top rope for the Molly-go-round. Shadow rolls as Molly leaps, and Molly misses. Molly gets up in pain and Shadow whips her into the ropes. It's reversed, and Shadow ducks a clothesline. Molly runs and bounces off the ropes, but Shadow meets her with a Roaring Elbow, knocking Molly out cold. She covers and gets the three count.

Winners: Croooooow and Shadow at 9:05

King: Wow!

JR: What a hit that was! Croooooow told me before the show that she calls that move the Interceptor, and she just knocked Molly Holly out with it.

Croooooow gets back in the ring and embraces her. He raises her arm in victory as the PPV Squad theme plays.

JR: I don't think Croooooow and Shadow have seen the last of Molly and Regal, but for tonight anyway, the PPV Squad gets their hand raised in victory!

INT. LOCKER ROOM - NIGHT

The Coach is in the PPV Squad's locker room. The Squad is celebrating with Croooooow and Shadow.

Coach: Well, I have to say that on behalf of all of us in WWE, we were certainly impressed with Shadow here.

Croooooow: You know, it's not in me normally to beat up a woman. So when Molly interjected herself into my business, I got on the phone and called a long distance PPV Squad member from Colorado. So I think it's pretty much unanimous with everybody here that she should formally be the newest PPV Squad member here in WWE, but... where's Nykk?

The door opens and Nykk walks in. The PPV Squad goes silent as he scowls at Shadow. After a few moments, he smiles and shakes her hand.

Nykk: Welcome to the PPV Squad.

Shadow smiles and the rest of the Squad voice their approval.

Coach: Nykk, you haven't seemed impressed with Shadow over the past few weeks, but you just gave her your vote of confidence. What exactly was it about tonight's match that changed your mind?

Nykk: You know what? I'm not the one you should be interviewing here. (to Shadow) Tonight is your night, girl. You've got the ball. Now run with it.

Shadow: Did I have you all fooled, Coach? You didn't honestly think I would step in the ring with wrestlers the caliber of Molly Holly and William Regal without knowing anything about wrestling, did you? When I got that call from my longtime friend Croooooow, I just couldn't resist coming in to help out. The PPV Squad are my boys now? and yes, my boys are nasty. They're insensitive, they're jerks, temperamental, impetuous and hostile. But they?re also terrific wrestlers, and overworked as it is. As of now, I'm here to beat up women like Molly so the guys don't have to!

Coach: There you have it. The newest member of the PPV Squad, Shadow.

INT. ARENA - NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. D'lo Brown vs. Rob Van Dam

Rob Van Dam's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: This should be a fast and furious encounter coming up here. We're set for Fatal Four Way action here at King of the Ring!

King: And here's the one and only Rob Van Dam, who would just love to take back the Intercontinental Title tonight.

D?lo Brown's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

King: You betta recognize!

JR: D'lo recently returned to WWE after a long hiatus but the first ever Eurocontinental Champion is back in the thick of things with this opportunity.

Nykk's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: In this match, the leader of the PPV Squad is the only man to not have held the Intercontinental Title at some point in the past. This is a humongous opportunity for Nykk, especially here in his home state.

King: Nykk started this whole thing when he disputed Van Dam's right to a rematch with Latino Heat.

JR: Nykk was also concentrating on inducting a new member into the PPV Squad tonight, so one has to wonder how his focus is on this match.

Eddie Guerrero's theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Last, and certainly not least, is our Intercontinental Champion.

King: Latino Heat!

JR: Eddie Guerrero is one of the finest wrestlers in the sport, but right now he has three of WWE's finest gunning for his belt.

King: I think that tonight we're going to find out how far out of Eddie Guerrero's league these other three are.

Eddie runs into the ring and ducks a clothesline from D'lo as the bell rings. Eddie slugs it out with D'lo as Nykk and RVD duke it out. RVD backs Nykk up against the ropes, but Nykk ducks a spinning heel kick and clotheslines RVD over the top rope to the floor as D'lo hits a standing leg lariat on Eddie. D'lo bounces off the ropes, but RVD trips him from the outside. D'lo goes down and Eddie dropkicks him in the head, but Nykk moves in and drops a quick elbow on Guerrero's back. RVD pulls D'lo outside the ring as Nykk backs Guerrero into the corner with some right hands. RVD forearms D'lo and then lifts him and drops him across the guardrail. He gets on the apron and executes a corkscrew legdrop on D'lo. In the ring, Nykk whips Eddie to the opposite corner and charges. Eddie tips up and headstands on the top turnbuckle briefly before twisting in midair and taking Nykk over with a hurricanrana. RVD throws D'lo back in the ring and goes for Rolling Thunder. D'lo rolls out of the way and RVD senton splashes the mat. At the same time, Nykk and Eddie get up and Nykk gets a waistlock. He tries to apply a full nelson, but Eddie escapes and reverses the waistlock. He rolls Nykk up for a pin, but D'lo grabs him by the hair and throws him out of the ring. D'lo hits Nykk with some right hands and backs him into the corner, as RVD gets to his feet in the opposite corner. D'lo tries to whip Nykk into RVD, but Nykk reverses. RVD does the splits and straddles the top rope and D'lo ducks. RVD rolls forward and somersaults across the ring. He jumps on Nykk and executes a monkey flip but D'lo catches Nykk in a sit out powerbomb on the way down. He gets a two count, but RVD dropkicks him in the face to break it up. Eddie comes back in and pokes RVD in the eye. D'lo picks Nykk up, but Eddie nails D'lo with a right hand and scoop slams Nykk.

RVD kicks D'lo and whips him into the ropes. RVD does the splits drop down and then vaults off the second rope to catch D'lo with a high cross body on the rebound. D'lo kicks out at two when Eddie makes the save. He picks RVD up and whips him into the ropes, but RVD reverses. He lifts Eddie high into the air and dropkicks him on the way down. He gets up and D'lo tries a kick, but RVD catches his foot and hits a stepover heel kick. Seeing D'lo down, he vaults to the top rope for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Eddie pushes him off the turnbuckles. RVD drops chest first onto the guardrail. Nykk comes up from behind and puts a sleeperhold on Eddie, but D?lo sneaks up behind him and puts a sleeper on Nykk. After a few moments, Eddie sits out, executing a double jawbreaker on Nykk and D'lo, causing them to release the hold. Eddie whips Nykk into the ropes, but he reverses and hits a running leg lariat. He ducks a clothesline from D'lo and dropkicks his knee. On the apron, RVD springboards off the top rope, but Nykk catches him and locks in a Fujiwara armbar. After a few moments, Guerrero charges and executes a rolling neckbreaker on Nykk, forcing him to let go. Eddie gets up and receives the Sky High from D'lo. He gets a close two count as Nykk and RVD lunge and barely break up the pinfall. D'lo picks RVD up and slams him. He then poses and hits a quick legdrop. He covers, but RVD kicks out at two. Eddie charges Nykk and gets backdropped over the top rope. D'lo tries to grab him, but Nykk executes a spinebuster. Nykk goes for RVD, but gets a forearm in the face. RVD whips him into the ropes and hits a spinning heel kick. As Eddie gets on the apron, RVD goes for Rolling Thunder on D'lo. Eddie hits a springboard somersault senton on D'lo and RVD connects with Rolling Thunder moments later. RVD covers, but Eddie shoves him off and makes the cover himself. RVD breaks it up and the two brawl back to the middle of the ring. Nykk charges them and executes a double half nelson bulldog. He covers D'lo, but he kicks out at two.

Nykk picks D'lo up and sets him on the top turnbuckle. He goes for a superplex, but D'lo drops Nykk face first to the canvas as Eddie catches an RVD kick only to receive an enzugiri. D?lo goes for a missile dropkick on Nykk, but he catches D'lo's feet and quickly applies the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf. RVD charges to break it up, but Nykk sees him and drops D'lo. He kicks RVD in the midsection and executes a tiger slam. He applies the Cedarleaf on RVD, and Eddie comes up from behind and applies a dragon sleeper on Nykk, causing him to wrench farther back on RVD. D'lo sees them and bounces off the ropes, hitting a clothesline on Guerrero. Eddie falls back and releases Nykk, who slumps forward to the mat and releases RVD. D'lo picks Eddie up, but he hits a low blow. Eddie gets up and picks Nykk up, executing a brainbuster. He goes up for a frog splash, but D?lo blocks his way. Eddie tries a flying bodypress on D'lo instead, but D?lo catches him and hits Sudden Impact. D'lo signals that he's going up and takes his time getting to the top rope. D'lo hits the Lo Down on Nykk as Eddie ascends the turnbuckles. D'lo covers, but RVD shoves him off at two. D'lo ends up on his back only to receive a frog splash from a waiting Eddie Guerrero. He covers, but RVD dropkicks him in the head to make the save. Eddie rolls out of the ring. RVD immediately goes up and hits the Five Star Frog Splash on D'lo, but Nykk almost simultaneously comes off the top with his own frog splash on Van Dam's back, knocking out RVD and crushing D'lo. He rolls RVD off and makes his own cover. However, Eddie is distracting the ref by trying to bring a chair in the ring.

After hitting the mat four times, Nykk gets up and spins the ref around to argue with him, and RVD hits the Van Daminator on Eddie, who drops the chair. Nykk then floors RVD with a running forearm and covers Guerrero, but he gets his foot on the bottom rope. Nykk notices D'lo getting up, so he tries to apply the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf. D'lo kicks him into the corner and then monkey flips him as he comes out of it. D'lo goes to the top rope, but Nykk crotches him on the top turnbuckle. Eddie and RVD duke it out in the middle of the ring and Eddie whips RVD into the ropes. It's reversed, and Eddie ducks a clothesline from RVD. They both bounce off the ropes and collide in the middle of the ring, striking heads. RVD staggers back and gets his arms trapped in the top and middle rope as Eddie falls to the mat. Nykk gets the chair and goes up to the top rope. D'lo stands up and Nykk places the chair on the top turnbuckle. They stand on the top rope, duking it out. Eddie comes over and pulls their legs out from under them. D'lo and Nykk drop down to the mat, their heads striking the chair and knocking them both cold. Eddie quickly goes to the top rope and hits a second frog splash on Nykk. RVD gets untangled and dives for Eddie, but doesn't make it in time and Guerrero gets the three count. Eddie rolls out of the ring to get away from Van Dam.

Winner: Eddie Guerrero at 14:19

King: I don't believe it!

JR: Eddie Guerrero retains the title after a highly energetic and competitive match. I tell you, this man's ability is uncanny.

King: Latino Heat pulled off the victory all right, but just barely.

JR: This match took its toll on all four men, but it was only after RVD got trapped in the ropes and D'lo and Nykk were knocked unconscious that Guerrero could execute his version of the frog splash and get the three count. I think this match could have gone any which way, and Eddie may want to thank his lucky stars that he was able to pull off the victory.
