INT. PROMO SET – NIGHT

Jonathan Coachman is standing by with Nykk.

Coach: Nykk, in two weeks at Judgment Day you have a match with X-pac that you made into a Submission Match. We saw X-pac tap out to the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf last week on Raw, but X-pac could very well be just as dangerous with that crossface chickenwing. But tonight you have a match against Mr. Perfect, a veteran in this sport. How confident do you feel about this match and the contest at Judgment Day?

Nykk: I feel very confident, Coach. The crossface chickenwing is a very painful move, but I never tapped out to it. X-pac has shown that he cannot withstand the pain of my finishing hold, the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf. But that’s not the only submission hold I know. I plan to send a message to X-pac tonight, but Mr. Perfect isn’t someone to take lightly, and trust me, I won’t be playing around. X-pac, you can try to deny it all you want but everyone knows the truth. You could change the fact that you suck, but you can’t change the fact that at Judgment Day, your spine will bend, you will tap and maybe freakin’ finally we won’t have to put up with you around here anymore.

He leaves the set.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Cynric vs. William Regal

Cynric’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: This contest will be for the European Title, and here comes the challenger.

King: Does anyone know how his brother feels about him getting a shot at the title he lost last night?

JR: I’m sure Croooooow is very supportive of his brother, as all the PPV Squad members are supportive of each other.

William Regal’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: The new European Champion is on his way down, and a more dangerous individual we have perhaps never seen here in the WWF. There’s no telling when he’s going to go for those brass knuckles.

FINISH: Booker T comes out on the ramp to watch the match. As Regal goes for the butterfly powerbomb, Cynric’s feet knock out the ref. Regal covers but no one can make the count. Regal picks Cynric up, but he hits a drop toehold, dropping Regal’s throat right onto the second rope. As Regal gets to one knee, Cynric hits the Lift Off and Booker runs to the ring. As Cynric gets up, Booker hits a scissors kick on Cynric and leaves. Regal covers and the ref wakes up and makes the three count.

Winner: William Regal at 4:45

JR: Well, Regal didn’t need those brass knuckles to win this one, but he did need help from Booker T.

King: What’s the working relationship between Booker T and Regal?

JR: I don’t know, but it’s a dangerous one to be sure.

INT. LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

Cheesecake is lacing his boots when Goldust comes into the locker room. Cheesecake stands up.

Goldust: So my protégé returns. Fear not, Goldcake, for a television show no longer separates the master from his pupil. As I see you standing before me, I can’t help but wonder where the wig is or what happened to your gold robe and paint.

Cheesecake: Let’th ju’th’t th’ay that I found my’th’elf. Tru’th’t me, I’m no very comfortable with who I am, and I’m no longer in need of you. Th’o in ca’th you can’t under’th’tand, I’m telling you this: “Pi’th off!” Watership Down, 1978.

Goldust: I see that the impertinent young man who used to be my pupil now disparages me and mocks my lifestyle. Well, my protocol son, how about we find out just who is the master tonight, as you, Cheesecake, step in the ring with… (inhales) Goldust.

Cheesecake: It’th a date.

Goldust eyes Cheesecake suspiciously and walks away.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk vs. Mr. Perfect

Mr. Perfect’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Here comes Mr. Perfect, who really hasn’t been perfect as of late.

King: No kidding, he really needs to step up his game.

JR: Especially tonight, considering he’s facing the leader of the PPV Squad. If Perfect isn’t taking this young man seriously, he could be in for quite a lesson, even at this stage in his career.

King: Wait a minute, JR, Nykk is the one that said he’s using Perfect to send a message to X-pac. If anyone’s taking his opponent lightly, it’s Nykk.

Nykk’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: And here comes his opponent, who has a Submission Match with X-pac at Judgment Day.

King: Maybe we’ll see some of those other submission holds he was talking about.

FINISH: Throughout the match, Nykk uses a variety of finishing holds such as a Fujiwara armbar, a cross armbreaker, figure four, etc. Perfect manages to regain control, but Nykk maneuvers him into an Indian deathlock, and Perfect yells in pain and taps out quickly.

Winner: Nykk at 4:12

JR: Nykk wins the match with an Indian deathlock, which I don’t believe I’ve ever seen him use before.

King: I have to admit his array of holds is impressive.

X-pac runs down with his nuchukus and slides into the ring.

JR: Uh oh, Nykk better watch out!

X-pac takes a swing, but Nykk drops to all fours and slides to the left. X-pac swings again and Nykk slides to the right to avoid them. X-pac tries an overhead swipe, but Nykk catches the nunchukus and pulls X-pac in, tripping him. X-pac goes down and Nykk applies a cross armbreaker. After a few moments, X-pac taps out.

King: X-pac came out here to blindside Nykk but Nykk looks like he’s gotten the better of him!

JR: X-pac’s tapping, but Nykk is not relinquishing the hold.

King: He really is a good submission wrestler!

A number of officials come out to try and break the hold, but Nykk won’t release X-pac. The Big Show comes out and gets in the ring, and Nykk finally releases the hold and rolls out of the ring.

JR: It took the threat of the five hundred pound Big Show to get Nykk to release X-pac from that vice grip he had on him, and it looks like X-pac may be hurt.

Nykk leaves as the officials tend to X-pac.

INT. LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT

X-pac is getting his elbow tended to by the trainer. Scott Hall is with him.

X-pac: Ouch… it hurts. Damn Nykk… when I get my hands on him… ow!

Hall: Don’t worry, Pac, you’ll get him at Judgment Day.

The trainer finishes taping up X-pac’s elbow.

Trainer: There you go.

X-pac flexes his elbow tentatively and Nykk and the Pyro Twins barge into the locker room. Dusty and Jay attack Hall and brawl with him out into the hallway. X-pac begs off from Nykk.

X-pac: Wait a minute, Nykk, we can talk about this…

Nykk: What’s to talk about? I enjoy making you tap out. I’d like to see it again.

He lays into X-pac and applies a standing crossface, putting pressure on the injured elbow. X-pac yells in pain and quickly taps. The Big Show runs into the locker room, but Nykk ducks under him and runs out the door. The Big Show tends to X-pac.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Cheesecake vs. Goldust

Goldust’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: We’re set for one on one action here as the bizarre one… takes on another very bizarre one.

King: No kidding. Cheesecake and Goldust used to have a close relationship, but it seems like Cheesecake’s been shunning him.

JR: Maybe he just wants more out of his career than being a Goldust clone.

Cheesecake’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: The former pupil will be taking on his mentor here. Cheesecake’s definitely had his share of ups and downs over the past few months, but it looks like he’s finally coming into his own.

King: At least he’s fully clothed this week. No short shorts.

FINISH: Goldust goes for the hangman’s neckbreaker, but Cheesecake kicks back and hits a low blow. Goldust doubles over and Cheesecake hits the Long Kiss Goodnight on Goldust for the pin.

Winner: Cheesecake at 3:55

JR: Cheesecake picks up the win with the Long Kiss Goodnight, and continues to be on a roll.

King: Wait a minute, JR, that low blow is what did it. Cheesecake should be ashamed of himself.

JR: Uh oh, watch out!

Goldust attacks Cheesecake from behind and hits the hangman’s neckbreaker. He props Cheesecake in the corner and gives him the Shattered Dreams.

JR: For the love of God, Goldust has just shattered the… jewels of Cheesecake!

King: You can’t say he didn’t have it coming, JR.

Goldust continues to pound on Cheesecake with rights, and Cynric and Croooooow run down. Goldust rolls out of the ring, but Booker T and William Regal run down. Regal gives both Croooooow and Cynric shots with the brass knuckles, knocking them out and Booker hits a scissors kick on Cheesecake. Goldust gets back in the ring as Regal’s theme plays.

JR: The PPV Squad has just been left lying by the tandem of Booker T, Goldust and William Regal!

William Regal gets a mic.

Regal: I’ve had it about up to my bloody neck with you filthy, disgusting PPV Squad toe rags! Every time I prove to be the better man, another of you comes along to bug the bloody hell out of me! So I propose this… myself, Booker T and Goldust against Croooooow, Cynric and Cheesecake at Judgment Day. We’ll just see if your special bond of friendship can resist the power of the punch.

JR: Regal just laid out a challenge there. If the PPV Squad accepts, they’ll go against Regal, Booker and Goldust at Judgment Day.

King: Well, they’re not in any position to accept a challenge now. They’ve been laid out!
