INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk vs. The Hurricane

The Hurricane’s theme hits and he and Mighty Molly make their way to the ring.

JR: Here comes the Hurricane, along with Mighty Molly!

King: He sure has been happy ever since he got his cape back, hasn’t he?

JR: Yes, certainly the Hurricane has had his problems with the PPV Squad in the past, and it looks like those problems may continue tonight.

King: What makes you say that, JR?

JR: Because everywhere they go, they cause problems! And I can only wonder what kind of a mood Nykk is in after he and Croooooow lost the tag team titles last night to the Hardy Boyz.

Nykk’s theme hits and Nykk makes his way to the ring.

King: He does not look happy.

JR: Last night, we saw the return of Edge, as he evened the odds during the tag team title match and Speared the hell out of Nykk. It was Nykk who nearly broke the neck of Edge, and now Edge is out for blood.

Halfway down the ramp, Nykk motions to the curtain, and Cheesecake, Croooooow, Jay, Dusty and Huh come out and follow Nykk. Croooooow hands him the PPV Squad mic.

JR: Oh, I see. We think he’s coming out alone, but he has the entire PPV Squad with him, minus Cynric, who is at home recovering from the beating he took from Steve Blackman last night.

Nykk: Hurricane, you don’ t have anything to worry about. Even though you stole my look, I’m not angry with you. Even though you beat up my friend Cheesecake and stole his cape, I’m not angry with you. I’m angry at Edge. Last night, he cost Croooooow and me the tag team titles. So Hardys, on behalf of my partner Croooooow, we challenge you to a rematch for the tag team titles on Smackdown.

JR: Nykk just laid out a challenge to the Hardys.

Nykk: But tonight the rest of the Squad is out here to make sure Edge does not run in and cost me this match too. But rest assured, Hurricane, I’m not looking past you. I’m going to make you tap faster than Fred Astaire!

Nykk rolls into the ring and the bell rings. The match goes about four minutes. During the match, Croooooow, Cheesecake and Huh each stand on one side of the ring while the Pyro Twins stand with their arms crossed at the entrance side, not paying attention to the match and watching for Edge. After Hurricane hits his flying bodypress, he whips Nykk into the ropes and puts his head down for a back body drop. Nykk counters with a tiger slam and quickly locks in the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf. Hurricane taps out after a few moments.

JR: And Nykk with the win, but he’s going paranoid, King. He brought his entire Squad out here to look out for Edge, but he never showed up.

King: Of course he never showed up. The PPV Squad was out here.

Nykk gets the PPV Squad mic and gets back in the ring. He scares Molly away and then starts stomping the Hurricane.

JR: Come on, stop it. You won the match fair and square, now leave him alone.

Nykk: Come on, Edge! Get up, Edge! You and I have a score to settle.

He puts the Hurricane in the Bellbrookville Cedarleaf again.

JR: This is repulsive! Nykk was calling the Hurricane Edge.

King: He’s going to break the Hurricane’s legs if he doesn’t let go of the hold.

After a few moments, Edge emerges from under the ring. The rest of the Squad, turned toward the audience, doesn’t see him. Edge gets on turnbuckles facing away from Nykk and missile dropkicks him out of the hold. He then gets on Nykk and starts pounding him with right hands.

JR: It’s Edge! He found a way through the PPV Squad and he’s beating the hell out of Nykk!

King: This isn’t right! What are the PPV Squad doing?

Finally, the PPV Squad turns around and they swarm the ring. Edge clotheslines Cheesecake and takes down Huh with a spinning heel kick, but Croooooow and the Pyro Twins converge on him and start to hammer him with right hands. Croooooow signals to the Pyro Twins and they back Edge into the corner. Croooooow gets ready for a clothesline, and the Pyro Twins whip Edge out of the corner. Edge hits Croooooow with a Spear and then rolls out of the ring, escaping through the crowd.

JR: Edge has outsmarted Nykk tonight, but how long will Nykk suffer these run ins?

INT. PROMO SET – NIGHT

Jonathan Coachman is standing by with the Hardy Boyz and Lita. Matt and Jeff have the tag team titles on their shoulders.

Coach: Matt, Jeff, last night at No Way Out, you made your comeback in a big way by winning the tag team titles from Nykk and Croooooow of the PPV Squad. Now earlier tonight, Nykk laid out a challenge. He wants a rematch for himself and Croooooow for those tag team titles this Thursday on Smackdown.

Matt: Yes, last night was a big night for the Hardys. We’ve been tag team champions before, but it was even sweeter this time to take the belts from two of the biggest asses in the World Wrestling Federation, and it will be even more of a pleasure to keep them away from them. We definitely accept the challenge, Coach.

Jeff: You see, last night we beat them at their own game, which is straight wrestling. But if they want a tag team title match from us, they’ll have to take it on our terms. We’ll beat them with our own specialty too. So on Smackdown, it will be the Hardy Boyz vs. Nykk and Croooooow… in a Ladder Match!

They leave the set.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Kane vs. “The Devil’s Virtue” Jay Rowe

Kane’s pyro and theme hits and he makes his way to the ring.

JR: Here comes Kane, who had a knock-down drag-out with “The Devil Himself” Dusty Schneble last night, but ended up losing, thanks to them taking advantage of Kane’s fear of being burned.

King: And he’s looking to Jay for some payback tonight, isn’t he?

Jay’s theme hits and Jay Rowe makes his way to the ring.

JR: Here comes one half of the Pyro Twins, who we understand now wishes to be called “The Devil’s Virtue” Jay Rowe.

King: Jay definitely pulled one over on Kane last night. He managed to get his partner Dusty a victory.

The match goes about three minutes. Kane is able to get the chokeslam and pin Jay.

JR: Kane gets the victory over Jay Rowe, but I’m sure that somewhere down the line he would like to get his hands on Dusty Schneble again.

Dusty suddenly jumps the barricade with his flame-thrower and gets in the ring.

JR: Wait a minute! Dusty’s out here now and has that damn flame-thrower pointed at Kane!

Before he can turn it on, Faarooq and Bradshaw run out and attack Dusty. He rolls out of the ring and he and Jay hightail it.

King: Kane was just saved by the APA!

JR: They came down to help Kane last night, and certainly they have no lost love for Dusty, I can tell you that.

The APA theme plays, as Faarooq, Bradshaw and Kane watch the Pyro Twins back up the ramp.

Smackdown

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Cheesecake vs. Diamond Dallas Page

Cheesecake’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring, not doing any of his poses and looking more somber.

Cole: Cheesecake has an opportunity to take the European title in this contest.

King: Maybe that will cheer him up a bit. Look at how depressed he looks!

Cole: Yeah, in the past few weeks he’s lost his cape that he stole to begin with, was “dumped” by Chuck & Billy… he wasn’t able to take out the Hardy Boyz for Nykk and Croooooow, had his dancing shunned by Huh of all people and lost to a woman on Smackdown.

King: Yeah, who wouldn’t be depressed?

DDP’s theme hits and Diamond Dallas Page makes his way to the ring.

Cole: Diamond Dallas Page won the European Title from Christian two weeks ago, and tonight he’s going against Cheesecake from the PPV Squad!

The match goes about three minutes. Cheesecake nearly wins the title after hitting a low blow. He goes for the Screw Driver, but DDP counters into the Diamond Cutter for the pin.

King: Oh no… Cheesecake came so close.

Cole: Close but no cigar as they say, as DDP picks up the victory here on Smackdown!

DDP leaves the ringside area as Cheesecake starts beating the mat in frustration and throwing a temper tantrum.

Cole: Look at this, King! What’s going on here?

King: I’ve never seen anyone so upset at not winning the European title before!

Cheesecake grabs a mic from ringside.

Cheesecake: That’th it, I can’t take it anymore! Every time I try to do th’omething lately, I th’crew up! I’ve de’th’ided that I need help… I’m going to go to the one man… the one th’tar that can help me realize my dream’th.

Cheesecake’s theme plays as he exits.

Cole: What the heck was he talking about?

King: I have no idea, Michael.

INT. ARENA – NIGHT

MATCH: Nykk and Croooooow vs. The Hardy Boyz

The PPV Squad theme hits as Nykk and Croooooow make their way to the ring.

Cole: This is it, King. A rematch from No Way Out for the tag team titles. The Hardy Boyz will take on Nykk and Croooooow in their first title defense in a Ladder Match!

King: And look at all the ladders out here.

The Hardys’ theme hits and Matt and Jeff make their way to ringside.

Cole: The Hardys did the wise thing by leaving Lita backstage. This is a very dangerous match, and the Hardys know that.

King: Nykk and Croooooow aren’t afraid to use the furniture though. Look what they did to the Hardys last week.

Matt and Jeff charge the ring and the match begins. It goes about eleven minutes, with both teams taking some creative ladder bumps. During the match, Huh runs down to help but Lita ambushes him from behind with a chair and fights him to the back. Toward the end, they have two ladders set up and all four men are battling at the top. The ladder with Nykk and Jeff topples and they hang themselves across the top rope. The ladder with Croooooow and Matt also topples, but both guys drop down and land on their feet. Matt kicks Croooooow and delivers the Twist of Fate. Matt sets up a ladder and starts to scale it. All of a sudden, the Pyro Twins march down the ramp, and Dusty has a flame-thrower. Matt sees him and jumps off the ladder before Dusty fires. He ignites the ladder, and then turns off the ‘thrower and drops it. He and Jay go to work on Matt, but Jeff comes in and saves Matt. They execute Poetry in Motion on Dusty and Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb on Jay. However, Nykk and Croooooow come to and attack. Nykk executes Howling Moon on Jeff as Matt DDTs Croooooow and hits his second rope legdrop. Matt gets an unburnt ladder and starts to scale it. Nykk soon joins him and they battle on top of the ladder. Edge then comes out through the crowd and gets in the ring. He goes up Nykk’s side of the ladder and executes the Edge-o-matic on Nykk, causing him to fall all the way to the mat. Edge rolls out of the ring and leaves as Matt then easily reaches up and takes the tag team titles.

Cole: The Hardys did it again! The Squad tried to play the numbers game, but Edge once again came out and evened the odds!

King: He got Nykk again!

The Hardys hug and pose with the belts while Croooooow and Nykk look chagrined.

MATCH: “The Devil Himself” Dusty Schneble vs. Faarooq

Dusty beats Faarooq after executing the Rope Burn.

Heat

MATCH: The Hurricane vs. Huh

Huh has Hurricane beaten after the Windbreaker, but starts to dance, allowing Hurricane to recover and hit Eye of the Hurricane for the pin.
