Poetry:
Why?

Any Guy at all,
So long as he's good.
Not once was race mentioned.
Not once height nor weight.
Not once.
Not until I found you.
The one to bring a smile to my face.
The one to bring the laugh to my voice.
If any man at all is what I can have,
Why can't it be you?
Why can't I wake beside you?
Why can't I love you?
..Love you without interferernce?
Not one of my better poems. It could have been written in a different way to make it appeal more, but I did it in a rush.
Breaking Through

Locked away in her own hidden prison,
This girl was like no other.
She looked upon the world as an outsider,
An outcast in her own mind.
She trusted no one,
But so badly wanted to bare her soul.
A strong pull at her heart came,
But it was ignored.
For the girl had all she thought she needed.. Herself
The pull came once more.
This time it wasn't ignored.
This time she could bare the way she was.. Alone.
She bore her soul to him.
Every pain she'd ever felt was laid out.
Every joy was there, too.
All she had known and all she had done.
He had forgotten and she had forgiven.
For once she felt she had found her place.
No longer did she feel like an outcast,
But as a human who had found what she was in search of... Love
.
I believe this to be one of my better poems and a look into my soul.
A look at what I am; who I am.

Prayer

I come to you, Lord, and ask you for only what's right.
Don't take my aunt this night.
She's yet to experience the true joys in life,
Her daughters to take husbands; her sons to take a wife.

Please don't take her, Lord.
It would be much more than this family could afford.
Dear God I'm pleading with you.
I'm not sure what else I can do.

She's still so young.
Life's precious melody has yet to be sung.
She's someone's wife.
Please, Lord, I beg of you; don't take her life.

There's not much more that can be said,
My prayer has been read.
Dear Lord I beg of you,
Let her live this life through.
This one is for my Aunt Railynn. For those of you who don't know; she overdosed on some drugs and we're pretty close. It hurt. It hurt real bad and this was the prayer that I prayed to God.
