2005 Literary Art Contest

Each year, as part of the National Starlings Tournament in San Diego, CA, there is a Literary/Art Contest.  Awards are given

out at the National Tournament in San Diego.  The NYC Starlings have had two first place winners in this contest

in years past, and we hope to continue our winning tradition!

This year's Literary/Art Contest Theme is

 "What Starlings Means to Me"

You can submit an essay, a poem, or create a piece of artwork that conveys what it means to you to be a member of the Starlings organization.

Rules/Guidelines

* The word limit for the essay is between 1,000 and 1,500 words.

* Artwork does not include photography or graphic design, but all other media is OK

* All NYC Starlings are required to submit an essay or artwork regardless of whether they attend the

National Tournament in San Diego--you are still eligible to win a prize for your submission!
