| Acceptable Use Policy Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.��s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets forth the standards by which all members and authorized guests (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Users") may use their assigned computer accounts, email services and the shared internet resources found on this National Website. The use of Swing�s computer and network resources including all electronic communication systems and equipment (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Swing Network") is a revocable privilege. By using or accessing the Swing Network, Users agree to comply with this policy and other applicable Swing policies, as well as all Federal, State, local laws and regulations. Using and/or accessing the Swing Network without proper authorization is strictly prohibited. Users are responsible for being aware of any changes to the AUP. The Swing Network is provided to support Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.� business and its mission. Any other uses that jeopardize the integrity of the Swing Network, the privacy or safety of other Users, or that are otherwise illegal are prohibited. General guidelines for acceptable use of the Swing Network are based on the following principles: � Users are expected to behave responsibly with respect to the Swing Network at all times. � Users are expected to respect the integrity and the security of the Swing Network. � Users are expected to behave in a manner consistent with Swing's mission and to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Swing policies. � Users are expected to be considerate of the needs of other Users by making every reasonable effort not to impede the ability of others to use the Swing Network and to show restraint in the consumption of shared resources. � Users are expected to respect Swing's principles regarding freedom of thought, inquiry, and expression. � Users are expected to respect the rights and property of others, including intellectual property rights. � Users are expected to respect the rights of others, specifically the right of privacy and of confidentiality. The following activities are specifically prohibited: � Use of the Swing Network for private business, commercial or political activities, fundraising, advertising on behalf of non-Swing organizations, unlawful activities or uses that violate other Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc.� policies. � Disruption of or interference with the Swing Network, including the distribution of chain mail, mail reflectors, listservs, mass emails, email bombs or any activities that create or propagate viruses, waste system resources or overload the Swing Network with excessive data. � Forging, altering or destroying communications, accessing or intercepting the accounts of other Users, or intentionally compromising the privacy or security of electronic information passing through the Swing Network. � Intentionally or negligently revealing one's password or otherwise permitting another to use one's personal account. � The intentional infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others or the unauthorized copying or distributing of Swing-owned or Swing-licensed software. � The use of the Swing Network to harass others, or to display to them verbal or visual communication that is offensive to other Users. � Swing will not impose any restraints on, nor make any efforts to monitor, the content of communications except: � When required to do so by applicable Federal, State and local laws, including laws regarding the right to privacy and laws that prohibit defamatory material. � To maintain the security and integrity of the Swing Network, including the investigation of any AUP or other Swing policy infractions. � Penalties for violating this policy may include restricted access or loss of access to the Swing Network and in some cases, civil and/or criminal liability. |
