Dr. Yaşarakıncı was born in Manisa, on August 07, 1956; received her elementary and secondary education in Diyarbakır and Konya; earned her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Field Crops Division from Atatürk University Agricultural Faculty (on The Hybridisation of the Species), and attained her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Entomology from Çukurova University Agricultural Faculty Plant Protection Division(The Distributions of Heliothis Ochs. (Lep.:Noctuidae) Species Attacking Lentil and Chickpea in The South east of Anatolia, and Biology, Hosts Plants, Natural Enemies of H. viriplaca (Hufnagel, 1766).

From 1980-1981, She studied in extension service of Plant Protection Directorate in Kocaeli/Turkey. She was charge to implement the forecasting and warning project on the apple pests to minimise the chemical treatments, and trained the growers on this subject.

From 1981-1991, She was a Research assistant in cereal pest laboratory in the Regional Plant Protection Research Institute in the South east Region of Turkey. The biology, population dynamics, Biological control (Particularly, natural control), chemical control (ULV and conventional spray methods either by ground or aerial application) of Sunn-pest (Eurygaster integriceps Put.) were studied. She worked as a research assistant in the wide area control (IPM) of E. integriceps which was held by government in the South east Anatolia Region of Turkey.

She was a laboratory chief of stock pests between 1986-1991. She studied on the chemical control and fumigation methods against stock pests of cereals.

She currently works as a researcher entomologist in Regional Plan Protection Research Institute in Aegean Region of Turkey. She is the chief of the vegetable and fodder pests laboratory. She is responsible for research and extension activities. She is the National coordinator of integrated pest management project on chickpea and Regional coordinator of integrated pest management project on protected vegetable. She also organised the training of consultants and growers on these IPM program in the region. An intensive Theoretical and practical training curriculum has been organised included plant protection and agronomy subjects in IPM and organic farming projects.

She also studies on the simulation models bases predator-prey and day degree models.
