The Quinta had an original pedra ruina. These ruin's where used by the farmers in the summer to sleep on the farm. Downstairs usually the cattle and upstairs the family. We prepared the ruin to survive the winter until the straw bale building is ready. As you can see on the pictures above it came a long way from how we bought it.
Much to our surprise the little house turned out to be comfortable, warm and dry. We had been warned that these 'pedra' buildings would be very moisture but not here. We think this is due to the roof construction we made. Return
