Quinta Cabra-Figo

The farm is almost 1 hectare large/small. Big enough to support a small Portuguese family. Traditional part of the family goes working somewhere for a salary and the rest do the work on the farm. This explains the historical grown low wages (+/-350 Euro minimum a month for 40 hours a week.). In this area still a lot of families live this way.

On our farm we have some live stock, chickens, ducks, goats and some freeloaders in the form of some dogs and cats we rescued from garbage dumps in the area. The dark side of the Portuguese is the way a lot of them handle animals. Further we grow vegetables and potatoes. This gives us the basic food stock. Return
