Welcome to Random Shots!
As you travel Central Oregon's roadways you can't help but take note of the objects d' art gracing them . So the question begs: What's that art doing in my ROUNDABOUT?

Northwest Wine Fan ventured out to capture some photos of these Central Oregon wonders.

Watch out,
hurry up, yield! The roundabouts are upon us!

The Old Mill District has its latest Roundabout located
at Bond Street and Wilson titled "Ghost"

With a nod to the milling that used to be done in the area one can only wonder if the equipment here is from the old
Crane Shed.

OK! This is where I am supposed to say that our Mountain View Cougar sculpture is much cooler than the
Bend High Lava Bear sculpture!

Do you see a cougar here? Nooo...we get a plow horse! What's that about? (Great art though)
Once again we reiterate, no cars in the middle of Roundabouts.
Go Cougars!!!
Well, that's it for this Random Shots feature on Northwest Wine Fan.
Now go brave those Roundabouts!

All best,
Tim & Carolyn

Here we are at Mt. Washington and Century Drive for a Roundabout designed like a compass. This piece is titled
"Mt. Bachelor Compass."

These four
poetic compass points done in brushed aluminum stand at the gateway to
Mt. Bachelor.

The "S" shown is the new one. Note to drivers, your car in the middle of a Roundabout does not constitute art in a public place. Nice to see it back in its finished form.

I'll be the round about
The words will make you out 'n' out
And change the day your way
Call it morning driving through the sound and in and out the valley

From the Yes album "Fragile" 1971

I was delighted to see Yes debut this album at the
Whisky-A-Go-Go in November 1971 (3 nights in a row!)
This was their first American tour.
Great group to see live!

Located at the 14th Street and Galveston Roundabout we like this sculpture for its vibrant use of color and form. The kinetic scukpture also acts as a weathervane.
