. How do I
join the Yellow Ajah?
. If you are not yet a member
of the Netland White Tower, the
first step is to join. Once your bio has been accepted and once you decide that
you wish to join the Yellow Ajah (it is encouraged that you wait and think about
the decision as long as possible before choosing), e-mail the Sitter and let her know of
your intention. Your name will then be added to the Aspirants' list. Complete the
Raising Requirements and you will be awarded the shawl
of a Yellow sister.
. How do I
meet people in the Ajah?
. You can start on the
Yellow Ajah MB, where you can hang
out both OOC and IC. The NWT IC MB and OOC MB, as you may already know, are good places to
meet people in general. And feel free, no matter what your rank, to start a new role-play
-- if it's related to the Yellow Ajah inn any way, you can have it listed on the news page.
. I'm listed
as a Yellow aspirant, but I've had a change of heart. Can I be removed?
. Yes; your decision to aspire to an Ajah
is not binding until you actually join that Ajah as a full sister. Notify the Sitter
if you change your mind.
. Are there
any standard Healing weaves for RPing?
. Not really. Within the books,
we know that basic (and even fairly complicated) Healing can be accomplished with
Air, Water, and Spirit, but Healing is also possible (and sometimes necessary) with
all Five Powers. We also know that the weaves are exceptionally complicated, but
that's about it! So feel free to "embroider" to your heart's content.
. Are ASiT
allowed to Heal patients unsupervised?
. Novices may not -- the rule about not
channeling without permission applies. For Accepted, there is no hard-and-fast rule. If
you've developed your character such that she would be able to handle the Healing weaves
required, then go ahead and Heal without waiting for a sister. However, if you think it
would be a real stretch in your character development (such as a new Accepted trying to
Heal a concussion), then wait for a sister (try including an "Attn: Aes Sedai" in the
subject line of your post to grab the attention of AS). That said, if you're dealing with
a character in a life-threatening situation, you may have to go the Aiel route -- break
the rule and take your punishment later.
. What does a good
little Yellow sister/aspirant do?
. While there are certain minimum
requirements for being raised to Aes Sedai, and even looser requirements for activity
once you gain the shawl, the more active the members of an Ajah are, the better. Please
submit fanfics, Heal patients on the Ajah MB or the NWT IC MB, start your own RPs, and
generally keep the Yellow Halls a vibrant place!
. I've noticed
that not all the sisters listed are active. How come?
. Once in a while, like every three
months or so, I will have an Ajah purge, where aspirants will have to send me email to
indicate that they are still aspirants. (Don't worry -- if you become inactive for
whatever reason and are removed from the aspirants page, all you need to do to get
put back on the page is e-mail me.)
Once you're Aes Sedai, policy is that you'll remain on the rolls until you say you
want to be taken off. My experience has been that just when you think a sister is gone
for good, poof! -- she reappears.
. Can I bond
more than one Warder?
. Yes. Up to two Gaidin/Gaidar may
be bonded without requesting the Sitter's permission. (However, please let her know so
that member listings can be kept accurate!) After two, you will need the Sitter's
permission.
This FAQ is not yet complete...if you have a question that isn't answered here,
by all means e-mail the Sitter and
ask.
