Meetings for 2003-2004
~August 29, 2003~ 

-Welcome; Introduction of sponsors and officers w/ their duties
- Description of what Spanish Club is about
-CONSTITUTION discussion (Official Consitution Signed and Aprroved)
-Dues; $5.00 annual due/ $15.00 annual due and t-shirt
- $15.00 due by Sept. 10 if t-shirt is wanted for Latino Festival
- All fees are due by the third Spanish Club meeting
- New members will be accepted in January and will pay $5.00 dues
- New/Old members have chance to order t-shirt in January
- Latino Festival is Sept. 20 (11 AM to 6 PM at Rapids)~ 1 hour for going
- Heart of Spain Exhibit in Alexandria, Lousisana from Sept. 1 - Nov. 25 ~ 1 hour
- T-shirt design described
- Dues will be used for decorations, refreshments (if any), etc.
- Freshman Representatives will be elected next meeting:  Kelly Harkins, Stephen Wright, Jessica Boleware, Jessica Reed, Heather Black
- Discussion of how to get your 5 hours by May
- Fundraiser discussion: One idea is; raise funds for a Bolivian orhpanage
- Next meeting date announced

~September 12, 2003~

-Vote for Freshman Representative (Stephen Wright Won)
-Latino Festival (Meet at gate at 12:30)
-Fundraiser decided (Bolivian Orphanage)
-We will be asking the principal about an Hispanic Bulletin Board near the main lobby
-Discussion about a "scrapbook"
-Fees are due by Sept. 26th at 8:00
-Sign up for scrapbook/bulletin board, altar decorating, mural painting, pan de muertos


~September 26, 2003~

- Date extension on dues until October 1
-Latino Festival reviews
-Bulletin board explanation about themes
-Guest speakers needed
-Fundraiser
-Pan de Muertos recipes
-Scrapbook description
-Latino Festival hours need tickets
-Ms. Moran describes altar
-Spanish Club link to Day of the Dead (VERY NEAT!!!)

~October 10, 2003~

-
Get a list of phone numbers
- Bulletin board update - has been hung in cafeteria~
- Scrapbook/B. board team meetings discussion
- Presentation on Spain's National Day by Nosha Robinson, Rachel Keng, and Justin Ponds
- Post poning of fund raiser until spring
- Community service project discussed:  Gateway Missions
- Day of the Dead : bring flowers, candles, copal
- Celebration of the Day of the Dead and brief explanation next time!

~October 24, 2003~

- Celebration of El Dia de los Muertos (Day  of the Dead)
- Memo on amending constitutional hour taking
- Final t-shirt order in until January
- Explanation of Altar and Day of the Dead
