This page is dedicated to our leagues origin's and past seasons, players and capsules of important events that have occured in the past eight seasons.  The NWFHL was born in 1995-1996 when I began playing fantasy football with a group of friends in a league called Toledo Top Guns Fantasy Football. After a half of season, it became obvious that I could adapt the rules of fantasy football to ice hockey.  The league began with eight franchises playing a 36 game schedule. Of the eight original members, I am proud to state that the following franchise owners are still here. Steve Pierson, Todd Sanford, Todd Pierson, Greg Bamm, and myself. In the 1996-1997 season we expanded to twelve teams and have remained at twelve up to present day. Of the four expansion teams, I'm happy to note that Stan Pierson and Todd Webster still play each season with us. We have had a number of owners cycle through the other two franchises, some good, some not so good, and hope that Chris Czawisza and the combo team of John Ernst and Jimmy Dickey will continue to play with us. They are both quality owners and fit into our league nicely.  Over the years, we have evolved into a fantasy hockey league that I feel rivals, and in many ways exceeds any other league out there including ESPN and the like. All of our member's have made many suggestions that have been added to our game. I hope you guys keep it up.
