Northwest Iowa Corridor HFH



Northwest Iowa Corridor HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - 'sweat equity' - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.



We have completed 2 home rehabs in Fostoria and 2 new home in south Spencer and a new home in Lake Park, with the help of the partner families. Also thanks to all the volunteers who helped make their dream of a simple, decent house a reality!

The Northwest Iowa Corridor is planning to start work in the spring of 2004 on a new home in Milford, Iowa. This will be our fourth new home. We encourage everyone interested in volunteering to call or e-mail us so we can get everyone involved. We are in need of a project coordinator, and site supervisors for this project. We are asking for every ones prayers for this project.
